The invention describes a method of treating feeds from renewable sources comprising a hydrotreatment stage comprising at least two catalytic zones in which the entry stream comprising said feed mixed with at least a part of a hydrotreated liquid effluent from stage b) is introduced into the first catalytic zone at a temperature comprised between 150 and 260° C., and the effluent from the first catalytic zone is then introduced, mixed with at least a part of a hydrotreated liquid effluent from stage b) and preheated, into the following catalytic zone or zones at a temperature comprised between 260 and 320° C., and a stage of separation of the effluent from the hydrotreatment stage permitting the separation of a gaseous effluent and a hydrotreated liquid effluent of which at least a part is recycled at the top of each catalytic zone, said method using, in at least the catalytic zone or zones following the first, a bulk or supported catalyst comprising an active phase constituted by a sulphidized group VIB element, the group VIB element being molybdenum.

A process for hydrotreating gas oil comprises: a first gas oil desulfurization step carried out in a first catalytic zone comprising a desulfurization catalyst; at least partial elimination of the hydrogen sulphide formed at the end of the first gas oil desulfurization step; one or more additional desulfurization steps carried out in one or more catalytic zones comprising a desulfurization catalyst. The distribution of the catalyst in the different zones can be selected so as to maximise the catalytic activity, and thus minimize the volume of catalyst required for a unit of a given capacity operating at fixed operating temperature and pressure, so as to obtain an intensely desulfurized gas oil.

Catalytic cracking gaseolines are treated by: (a) fractionating the raw gasoline cut into two cuts; (b) optional selective diene hydrodenation of the light cut, then mild hydrotreatment and stripping; (c) sweetening the light cut which is conducted before the mild hydrotreatment step by contact with a supported catalyst containing 0.1-1% by weight of palladium, or after the mild hydrotreatment step and which is then an extractive sweetening step, or with a catalyst having an alkaline base optionally incorporated and also an oxidizing agent. The heavy gaseoline fraction is optionally desilphurized in a hydrotreatment unit. The desulpurized and sweetened light gaesoline can be added to the gasoline pool either directly or mixed with the desulphurized heavy gaseoline cut.

The invention relates to a method of treating feedstocks from renewable sources without intermediate gas-liquid separation in order to produce diesel fuel bases of excellent quality. The feedstocks used can be raw vegetable oils or such oils that have been previously subjected to a prerefining stage, animal fats, or mixtures of such feedstocks. The invention relates to a method allowing high diesel fuel base yields to be obtained from such feedstocks.
