    摘要: A communication cable management and distribution system for use in a modular partitioned workspace environment including a plurality of partition panels defining the workspaces and a consolidation point cabinet mounted on and supported by the partition structure. The cabinet is generally rectangular and includes an interior defined by a top, a bottom, a back, a pair of sides and a front. The cabinet is mounted on the partition structure by mounting brackets which are configured so that the cabinet can only be unmounted from the partition structure by gaining access to the cabinet interior. A back wall in the cabinet interior includes a plurality of apertures which allows cable management elements to be mounted by screws at a plurality of interchangeable locations. One such cable management element is a consolidation point bracket that is pivotable between a first position for storage and a second position offering improved access to the consolidation point. The cabinet includes a back double wall which increases the strength of the cabinet and allows an area for the screws to terminate internally of the cabinet. A method of mounting the cabinet on the partition structure is also disclosed. The method includes securing a first mounting bracket to a first vertical frame member of the partition structure, hanging the cabinet on the first mounting bracket so that the cabinet is supported thereby, and locking the cabinet to the first mounting bracket.

    摘要: An apparatus to oxygenate and perfuse a bodily tissue for extracorporeal preservation of the bodily tissue. The apparatus may be used to transport donor organs for transplant. The apparatus includes a pneumatic system, a pumping chamber, and an organ chamber. The pneumatic system is configured for the controlled delivery of fluid to and from the pumping chamber based on a predetermined control scheme. The pumping chamber is configured to diffuse a gas into a perfusate and to generate a pulse wave for moving the perfusate through a bodily tissue. The pumping chamber is configured to substantially automatically purge excess fluid from the pumping chamber to an area external to the apparatus.

The system includes a self-purging preservation apparatus to suspend the sample in preservation fluid, and perfuse a tissue with preservation fluid. When assembled, the system allows for transport of biological samples for extended periods of time at a stable temperature, while self-purging trapped gases.

    摘要: A ribbed seal for use in endoscopic surgery is intended to be incorporated into a cannula assembly to limit the escape of insufflation gasses from a body cavity by forming a fluid-tight seal around an instrument inserted through the cannula assembly. The ribbed seal includes a relatively flat, disk shaped elastomeric overmold portion having a central aperture sized slightly smaller than the instrument such that the aperture must expand to accommodate the instrument. Molded together with the elastomeric overmold is an array of slender ribs disposed about the aperture. The ribs are designed to be relatively flexible under lateral loads. This allows the seal to bend easily as the surgical instrument is inserted through the aperture thereby maintaining a low insertion and glide force. On the other hand, the ribs are designed to be relatively rigid when loaded axially. This rigidity provides robust radial support for the instrument inserted through the center of the array of ribs. The seal performs a centering function for the instrument due to its combined elasticity and stiffness. Finally, the seal also allows for an instrument to be removed easily while maintaining the required atmospheric integrity.
