摘要:
An apparatus includes a scanner (102, 104) and a scanning motion monitor (100). A motion modeler (116) uses data from the scanning motion monitor (100) and the scanner (102, 104) to generate a motion model which describes motion of a region of interest of an object. A treatment planner (112) uses image data from the scanner (102, 104) to establish a treatment plan for the object. A treatment device 114, which operates in conjunction with a treatment motion monitor (108), uses the motion model to compensate for motion of the object during application of the treatment.

摘要:
An imaging system (10) comprises a data device (30), which controls radiation data acquisition from a subject positioned in an examination region (18) for an examination. A rebinning processor (40) bins the acquired data periodically into a histogram (42). A transform (70) transforms the histogram (42) into individual independent or uncorrelated components, each component including a signal content and a noise content. A stopping determining device (52) compares an aspect of at least one selected component to a predetermined threshold (TH) and, based on the comparison, terminates the data acquisition.

A positron emission tomography scanner system that includes detector modules arranged adjacent to one another to form a cylindrical detector ring. Each of the detector modules includes an array of scintillation crystal elements, a plurality of photosensors arranged to cover the array of crystal elements and configured to receive light emitted from the array of crystal elements, and a fiber optics plate arranged between the array of scintillation crystal elements and the plurality of photosensors, the fiber optics plate including a plurality of fibers configured to guide the light emitted from the scintillation crystal to the plurality of photosensors.
摘要:
A method and apparatus for determining a coincidence window for imaging a region of interest of an object using a Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scanner. The method includes determining a diameter of a transverse field of view (FOV) for imaging the region of interest of the object; and calculating the coincidence window based on the determined diameter, a ring diameter of the PET scanner, an axial length of the PET scanner, and a time-of-flight resolution of the PET scanner.

A method for reconstructing list mode data comprises: reconstructing all list mode data of a list mode data set (30, 160) to generate a first reconstructed image (32, 62); selecting a sub-set of the list mode data set; and reconstructing the sub-set of the list mode data set to generate an enhanced reconstructed image (84, 86). An image generation system comprises: a reconstruction module (24) configured to perform a standard reconstruction of a list mode data set to generate a standard reconstructed image (32, 62); and a re-reconstruction module (24, 70, 80, 82, 150, 152, 154) configured to perform a reconstruction other than the standard reconstruction of at least a portion of the list mode data set to generate an enhanced reconstructed image (84, 86).

A hybrid imaging system and a patient bed for same are disclosed. The hybrid imaging system includes a magnetic resonance scanner and a second modality imaging system spaced apart from the magnetic resonance scanner by a gap. In some embodiments, the gap is less than seven meters. The patient bed is disposed at least partially in the gap between the magnetic resonance scanner and the second modality imaging system, and includes a linearly translatable patient support pallet aligned to be selectively moved into an examination region of the magnetic resonance scanner for magnetic resonance imaging and into an examination region of the second modality imaging system for second modality imaging. In some embodiments, a linear translation range of the linearly translatable pallet is less than five times a length of the patient support pallet along the direction of linear translation.

An apparatus for treating an aqueous medium containing microorganisms comprises an intake for receiving the aqueous medium containing microorganisms. A pressure differential inducer is associated to the intake so as to receive the aqueous medium containing microorganisms with a desired level of gas saturation. The pressure differential inducer is actuatable to expose the aqueous medium containing microorganisms with a desired level of gas saturation to accelerations so as to cause cell wall rupture of the microorganisms. An outlet is associated with the pressure differential inducer for outletting the treated aqueous medium containing ruptured microorganism cells and contents. The treated aqueous medium containing ruptured cell wall of the microorganisms is disposed of and/or recycled.
