    摘要: The present invention provides a method for making a lithographic printing plate according to the silver salt diffusion transfer process comprising the steps of exposing and developing an imaging element comprising on a support a silver halide emulsion layer and an image-receiving layer in the presence of a silver halide solvents corresponding to the following formula:Z.sup.1 --(R.sup.1 --X.sup.1).sub.n --(R.sup.2 --X.sup.2)--L--(X.sup.3 --R.sup.3)--(X.sup.4 --R.sup.4).sub.m --Z.sup.2 (I)wherein X.sup.1, X.sup.2, X.sup.3 and X.sup.4 each independently represents --S--, --NH-- or --N(R.sup.5 --Z.sup.3)--, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 each independently represents an alkylene, an alkenylene or an alkynylene, n and m each independently represents an integer from 0 to 4, Z.sup.1, Z.sup.2 and Z.sup.3 each independently represents hydrogen, an alkyl group, an amino group, an ammonium group, a hydroxyl, a sulfo group, a carboxyl, an aminocarbonyl or an aminosulfonyl, and L represents an ethylene or a C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 divalent linking chain, having a group preventing free rotation within this divalent linking chain, X.sup.2 and X.sup.3 being in the thermodynamically most stable conformation of said compound in a favorable position for complexation with a silver ion.

    摘要: A method for making a negative-working heat-sensitive lithographic printing plate precursor includes the steps pf: (i) providing a support having a hydrophilic surface or which is provided with a hydrophilic layer; and (ii) applying on the support a coating which includes a product DQ, wherein DQ is obtained by: the step of coating a solution or dispersion including a nucleophilic compound Q and a dye D selected from the list consisting of di- or tri-arylmethane dyes, cyanine dyes, styryl dyes, and merostyryl dyes; or by D and Q interact to form interaction product DQ, having a white light optical density which is lower that the white light optical density of dye D; and the interaction product DQ is capable of at least partially releasing a dye directly after exposure to infrared light or heat, therby forming a visible image in the coating.
