The invention further includes various immunoassay methods which use the described antibody alone or in combination with other antibodies to determine the circulating levels of p(17) intact PTH (1-84) or fragments thereof in biological fluids. Such antibodies and immunoassays can be used in conjunction with other antibodies to detect all biologically active forms of hPTH present in biological fluids.

    摘要: Peptide antigens corresponding to amino acid residues 2-12, 1-12, 2-15 and 1-15 of parathyroid hormone (PTH), antibodies having an affinity to such peptide antigens and methods of producing the same. Such antigens, antibodies and methods producing the same according to the present invention are useful in determining bioactive intact PTH levels in serum, plasma, and/or cell culture media. Such antibodies further possess a high degree of species cross-reactivity, but substantially mitigated cross-reactivity to non-whole PTH peptide fragments and little to no recognition of the first amino acid residue of PTH.

    摘要: Immunoassays, assay methods, antibodies and methods of producing antibodies for the detection of fibroblast growth factor-23 (FGF-23). The immunoassay and assay method preferably comprise a non-competitive, sandwich-type assay utilizing a first bound antibody having affinity to a first site of the FGF-23 molecule, and a second, labeled antibody having an affinity for a second site present upon the FGF-23 molecule. The antibodies and methods of generating the same include administering antigenic peptide fragments of the FGF-23 molecule, monitoring the antibody titre produced thereby, extracting and selecting antibodies from the antisera having a specificity for the desired antigenic region of FGF-23, and purifying same. The antibodies may be incorporated into the immunoassay of the present invention or utilized for a variety of assay-type purposes for the detection of FGF-23.

    摘要: A method for performing multiple, simultaneous in vitro diagnostic tests is provided. The method utilizes a solid phase device comprising a receptacle and an insert. The receptacle has one or more fixed components immobilized on its inner surface. The insert has one or more fixed components--different from those immobilized on the receptacle--immobilized on its surface which is in contact with a fluid sample when inserted therein. The test is performed by placing a fluid sample, having two or more mobile components reactive with the fixed components, into the receptacle and in contact with the insert for a period of time and measuring the changes which are a function of the concentration of the mobile components.
