    摘要: A method comprising heating to elevated temperature a ceramic substrate having thereon a sequence of coatings of pigmented coating compositions wherein each of said pigmented coating compositions comprises: (a) reactive organic resin which is polyhydroxy-functional, polyepoxy-functional, or both epoxy-functional and hydroxy-functional; (b) reactive wax; (c) color-imparting pigment; and (d) blocked polyisocyanate; wherein: (e) the pigmented coating composition of at least one coating of the sequence is substantially free of amino-functional curing agent; and (f) the pigmented coating composition of at least one other coating of the sequence further comprises amino-functional curing agent; to crosslink all of the pigmented coating compositions of the coatings of the sequence and to adhere the sequence to the ceramic substrate. The preferred ceramic substrates are glass bottles.The outermost coating of the sequence may optionally be overlain with a coating of substantially clear overcoating composition which comprises reactive organic resin which is polyhydroxy-functional, polyepoxy-functional, or both epoxy-functional and hydroxy-functional. Upon heating to the elevated curing temperature, the substantially clear overcoating composition is crosslinked together with the pigmented coating compositions.

    摘要: A method is disclosed for preparing ammonium hydroxyalkyl sulfonate by a process of reacting ammonium bisulfite and alkylene oxide wherein the pH is maintained at a relatively low value throughout most of the time of reaction of ammonium bisulfite and alkylene oxide in order to minimize the quantity of impurities, e.g. alkylene glycol and alkanolamine, in the ammonium hydroxyalkyl sulfonate. Ammonium alkanoyl alkyl sulfonates prepared by reacting such ammonium hydroxyalkyl sulfonates with fatty acids form aqueous solutions which are clear at ambient temperatures, and thus are useful as surfactants in clear liquid products.

    摘要: Described are detergent compositions that exhibit reduced skin irritation properties while providing excellent cleaning and detergent characteristics. The detergent composition contains anionic and/or nonionic surface active materials that are at least mildly irritating to the skin and an amount of alkyl poly(ethyleneoxy)sulfonate sufficient to reduce the primary skin irritation potential of the detergent composition. The aliphatic poly(ethyleneoxy)sulfonate typically has a hydrophobe containing from 12 to about 22 carbon atoms and an average of from about 10 to about 30 ethyleneoxy groups, and is present in the detergent composition in amounts of from about 5 to about 50 percent of the total amount of surface active material in the detergent composition.

    摘要: A high foaming, low eye irritation cleaning composition. The composition contains an alkyl ether sulfate having the following structural formulae:R(A).sub.n OSO.sub.3 M or R.sub.1 (A).sub.n SO.sub.3 Mwherein R is an alkyl, alkylaryl, acyl or alkenyl group having at least 13, preferably 13 to 30, most preferably 14 to 24, carbon atoms in the alkyl chain; R.sub.1 is an acylamide group having at least 13, preferably 13 to 30, most preferably 14 to 24, carbon atoms, A is an alkyl ether group derived from ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, butylene oxide, glycidol and substituted epoxides, the preferred group being ethoxy; n is about 6 to about 100, preferably about 6 to about 20, more preferably about 10 to about 20; and M is a cation such as an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, a transition metal, ammonium, an alkylamine, or an alkanolamine. These compositions are particularly useful as cosmetic cleaning compositions, such as shampoos and bubble baths.

    摘要: A polymeric reaction product is disclosed that is a silylated polyamine-containing polymer having moieties from fatty acid moieties and/or chain extenders as difunctional organo moieties and free amine moieties and hydrolyzed and/or hydrolyzable organofunctional silane moieties and that is at least water dispersible. The reactants that produce this product are a polyamine-containing polymer with fatty acid moieties and free amine moieties and at least one amine-reactable organo functional alkoxysilane or its hydrolysis products. The former reactant results from the reaction of a polyamine-containing polymer with free amine moieties with fatty acids alone or in mixtures with other fatty acids and/or dimer acids. The polymeric reaction product is combined with a predominant amount of water to form a fiber treating formulation that can reside on the surface of one or more treated fibers.
