摘要: A coated abrasive article comprises a backing, a first binder on the backing, and a plurality of abrasive particles in the first binder. The first binder precursor is an energy-curable preferably, melt-processable resin containing an epoxy resin, an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and a curing agent for crosslinking the epoxy resin that is cured to provide a crosslinked make coating. The above binder precursors of the invention are preferably free of homopolymers and copolymers of olefinic monomers. In another aspect, the invention also describes an energy curable first binder precursor containing an epoxy resin, an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, a polyfunctional acrylate component and a curing agent for crosslinking the epoxy resin that is cured to provide a crosslinked make coating. The invention also relates to a method of producing such coated abrasive articles and a surface-treated backing material.

摘要: Methods of preparing silicone materials using electron beam curing are described. The materials are hot melt processed and cured in the absence of an effective amount of catalysts and initiators. Both functional and nonfunctionalized silicone materials may be used. Exemplary cured materials include silicone pressure sensitive adhesives, silicone foams, and non-tacky silicon films.

摘要: Fibers comprising a first thermoplastic composition having a softening temperature up to 120° C and a curable resin. Also disclosed are compositions comprising a plurality of fibers, with some of the fibers comprising a first thermoplastic composition having a softening temperature up to 120° C and some of the fibers comprising a curable resin. The fibers have an aspect ratio of at least 2:1 and a maximum cross-sectional dimension up to 60 micrometers. Fluid compositions containing the fibers and methods of contacting a subterranean formation using the fibers are also disclosed.

摘要: The invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape with improved room temperature handleability comprising an adhesive layer with at least one exposed surface and optionally a backing, wherein the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer comprises an epoxy/polyester based pressure sensitive adhesive which is crosslinkable upon exposure to actinic or e-beam irradiation and optionally heat, and comprises (i) 30-80% by weight of a polyester component comprising one or more amorphous polyesters compounds, (ii) 20-70% by weight of an epoxy component comprising one or more epoxy resins and/or monomers, (iii) 0-50% by weight of a hydroxyl-functional component containing one or more hydroxyl-containing compounds having a hydroxyl functionality of at least 1, and (iv) an effective amount of a photoinitiator component for crosslinking the pressure-sensitive adhesive, whereby the weight percentages refer to the total mass of components (i)-(iv) and add up to 100 wt. %, and which exhibits a holding power of at least 5 min.
