    摘要: A medical pump, for use with a cassette having a pumping chamber, includes a pumping element with a piston slider assembly which intermittently pressurizes the pumping chamber during a pumping cycle and has a piston head connected to a main body with a single pressure sensor positioned therebetween. A camshaft is associated with the pumping element, an inlet control element, and an outlet control element for closing the pumping chamber to flow when the pumping chamber is pressurized. A processing unit receives pressure and position data from the pressure sensor and a position sensor associated with the pumping element, and processes this data to determine the operating condition of the pump. The operating conditions determined include: blocked fluid flow, no fluid in the line, no cassette associated with the pump, proper pump priming, or proper valve sealing.

    摘要: A plastic reclosable fastener or zipper with slider detent lock for locking the slider in closed position on plastic-film bags and the like is disclosed. The slider includes two spring-loaded detent elements located on opposite sides of the separator finger on the slider. When the slider is at any location other than the fully closed position at the end of the fastener, the spring-loaded detent elements ride against the outside surfaces of the flanges by which the separator finger opens the fastener. When the slider reaches the location at the end of the fastener where portions of the flanges have been removed to provide a notch, the spring-loaded detent elements spring inward against the sides of the separator finger. There they resist an attempt to move the slider in an opening direction because this requires that they be forced outward over the flanges of the zipper.

    摘要: A radial arm saw features light weight, portability and simplicity of construction. A standard supports a one-piece radial arm that comprises a pair of horizontal, vertically spaced cantilever rails rigidly joined at their outer ends by an integral connecting member. A sliding runner spans the rails and has vertically spaced bearing parts receiving corresponding rails. A vertical spindle on the runner is connected at its lower end to the top of a cage that receives a conventional portable circular saw, thereby suspending the saw unit beneath the rails and above the work surface. The spindle permits the cage to be rotated for either cross-cut or ripping operations, and the radial arm is adjustable in a horizontal plane by a special detent arrangement on the standard that allows the elevation of the saw unit to be varied in any selected radial position.
