A flexible battery and an electronic device comprising same are provided. The flexible battery includes a battery assembly including a plurality of positive electrode plates and a plurality of negative electrode plates alternately stacked with each other and a separator arranged in between the positive electrode plates and the negative electrode plates, and a main positive electrode tab, a main negative electrode tab, an auxiliary positive electrode tab, and an auxiliary negative electrode tab which are attached to each of the plurality of positive electrode plates and protrude in a first direction of the battery assembly, wherein the separator may include a first portion arranged in between the positive electrode plates and the negative electrode plates and a second portion which extends from the first portion in the first direction and is arranged in between the auxiliary positive electrode tab and the auxiliary negative electrode tab.

The electronic device includes a housing having a plate, a base member disposed in the housing and disposed substantially parallel to the plate, and the battery disposed in an area of the base member, and configured to supply power to the electronic device. The battery includes an electrode assembly including a first portion and a second portion having different sizes, and a battery case including a receiving space that houses the electrode assembly, and a sealing portion disposed along an outer periphery of the electrode assembly, wherein the first and second portion meet to form a corner, wherein a first curved structure is formed at the corner, and at least a portion of the sealing portion includes a first elongated structure formed based at least on the first curved structure.

The battery disposed inside the electronic device includes a battery cell including a plurality of cell areas arranged at intervals therebetween and one or more folding areas that foldably connect a pair of neighboring cell areas, and a protection circuit portion extending from the battery cell and electrically connected to a printed circuit board (PCB) of the electronic device. The battery cell includes a plurality of substrate members stacked while being insulated through a separation membrane and a mixture layer applied to a surface of each of the substrate member, in which the substrate member are arranged without an overlapping area therebetween in a folding area.

An electronic device according to an embodiment of the disclosure may include a battery. The battery may include: an electrode assembly including a cathode substrate coupled to a cathode tab, an anode substrate coupled to an anode tab, and a separator sheet disposed between the cathode substrate and the anode substrate, and a pouch accommodating the electrode assembly, wherein the pouch includes a bonding portion provided along an edge of the electrode assembly, a first damage detection circuit configured to detect damage to the battery, and a circuit board to which the cathode tab, the anode tab, and the first damage detection circuit are electrically coupled. The battery may include a first portion, a second portion foldable with respect to the first portion, and a folding portion which couples the first portion and the second portion. The first damage detection circuit may extend from a first point of the circuit board to a single point of the second portion by crossing the first portion and the folding portion along an inside of the bonding portion, and extend from the single point of the second portion to a second point of the circuit board by crossing the folding portion and the first portion along the inside of the bonding portion.
