摘要: The disclosure proposes a technique for achieving validity decision performance of a suitable level in communication and broadcasting systems using a polar code. The polar code is a channel code in which it is difficult to use a syndrome check due to a successive cancellation (SC)-based decoding operation and coding structure. Accordingly, in the communication of the related art and broadcasting systems using the polar code, a validity check of a decoding result has been performed by using a path-metric (PM) generated during decoding and a concatenated error detection code, such as a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) code. However, it is difficult to achieve target error detection performance only via such methods when the length of the CRC code is short or when input and output lengths of a code are short. In this regard, an embodiment of the disclosure proposes a method for obtaining a Euclidean distance-based metric between a received signal and a decoded signal by using an estimated codeword output bit sequence, and performing post error detection based on this.

A decoding method includes: performing decoding through an inner code; detecting an error through an outer code; determining a re-encoding method; and performing re-encoding. A method for processing a signal includes decoding a first layer signal to determine first LDPC information bits, encoding the first LDPC information bits and a first parity bits to determine second parity bits; identifying a part of the first LDPC information bits, and decoding a second layer signal.

A method for coding a channel in a communication system is provided. The method includes coding information to be transmitted with an outer code, generating an input sequence by allocating outer coded symbols sequentially from a sub-channel having a large capacity based on a polar code sequence, the input sequence having a value of 2n and n being a preset value, coding the input sequence with the polar code, interleaving the polar coded symbols of the polar coded input sequence according to a predetermined scheme in consideration of a modulation symbol, and modulating the interleaved polar coded symbols.
