Abstract:
An apparatus and method for providing virtualization services in a mobile device are provided. The virtualization service providing apparatus includes an installer module configured to receive a hypervisor image and an agent for installing the hypervisor image, from a host server, a virtualization service module configured to store the hypervisor image and the agent and to transmit a request for rebooting the mobile device, in response to determining that the hypervisor image and the agent are authenticated by an authentication server, and a power management module configured to receive the request, and to reboot the mobile device.
Abstract:
Provided are an electronic device and a method for controlling same. In the method for controlling the electronic device, received is an input of a user command for executing a second OS during execution of a first OS. And a virtual sensor driver, for receiving sensor data from a sensor device, is provided when the second OS is executed. Sensor data is received from the sensor device by means of the provided virtual sensor driver. And the received sensor data is transmitted to an application of the second OS.
Abstract:
Provided is a mode-based access control method that includes: making a security mode list which indicates security setting states of devices existing in a home network; setting a specific security mode selected from the modes on the security mode list; and making the devices perform functions thereof in the specific security mode. Also, provided is a mode-based access control device includes: an authentication unit which checks information on a user and authenticates the user; a mode configuration unit which makes a security mode list indicating the security setting state of devices forming a home network; a mode setting unit which sets a specific security mode selected from modes on the security mode list; and an operating unit which causes the devices to perform functions thereof in the specific security mode.
Abstract:
A method for executing a virtual machine (VM) in an electronic device is provided. The method includes obtaining a position of a first base disk image stored in a disk image storage, creating a root disk image that backs the first base disk image based on the obtained position, and executing the VM based on the created root disk image. The method further includes, in the run-time of the VM, changing the first base disk to the second base disk, and continuing the VM based on the merged root disk.
Abstract:
A home system is provided. In a method of executing an application, information for executing the application is received from a device when accessing of the device is sensed, and the application is executed based on the received information. Accordingly, when a user merely brings a wireless guest device near to or in contact with an access point or a wired home device, it is possible to allow the wireless guest device to simultaneously automatically set an optimum security environment for a wireless network and execute an application that the user desires.
Abstract:
A method of intrusion detection in a terminal device that supports driving of a plurality of operating systems, is provided. The method includes collecting at a first operating system of the plurality of operating systems intrusion detection data for analyzing whether there is an intrusion in at least a second operating system of the plurality of operating systems; and performing at the first operating system an intrusion detection with respect to the at least a second operating system using the collected intrusion detection data.
Abstract:
According to various embodiments, an electronic device comprises: a housing including a first surface, a second surface facing in the opposite direction of the first surface, and side surfaces that surround at least a part of a space between the first surface and the second surface; a first sensor and a second sensor which are disposed in the housing or exposed through at least one surface; a communication circuit disposed in the housing; an antenna radiator electrically connected with the communication circuit; and a control circuit electrically connected with at least one of the first and second sensors, and the communication circuit, wherein the control circuit is configured to: transmit or receive, to or from an external device, a first signal output from the communication circuit, using the antenna radiator; detect, using the first sensor, whether an external object has approached within a predetermined distance at least a part of the antenna radiator to generate a second signal; detect, using the second sensor, an orientation of the electronic device to generate a third signal; and decrease the strength of the first signal, based on at least a part of the generated second signal and third signal.
