Abstract: There are provided a temperature sensor that has following capability to a temperature measurement object and has excellent responsiveness, and a temperature detection device and an image forming apparatus each including the temperature sensor. A temperature sensor used in contact with a temperature measurement object, includes: a thermosensitive element configured to detect a temperature of the temperature measurement object; a heat collection member including an abutting portion configured to abut on the temperature measurement object, and configured to be thermally joined with the thermosensitive element; and a holding member including a housing portion configured to house the heat collection member. The heat collection member is swingably held by the holding member, to maintain a state where the abutting portion abuts on the temperature measurement object.

Abstract: An infrared temperature sensor that detects temperature of a detection object in a non-contact manner includes a sensor case that includes a light guiding region and a light shielded region, a film that absorbs and converts infrared rays into heat, a sensor cover, an infrared detection element, and a temperature compensation element. The sensor case includes a case base portion and a hood that surrounds the light guiding region and the light shielded region and is erected from the case base portion. The hood includes an opening part and a shielding part that protrudes toward an inside of the hood while defining the opening part and the light guiding region, and shields the light shielded region from the infrared rays. A protrusion direction of the shielding part toward the inside of the hood is adjustable.

Abstract: An infrared temperature sensor including: a sensor case made of metal and including a first airspace (a light guiding region) that guides infrared rays entering from an infrared entrance window, and a second airspace (a light shielding region) that is adjacent to the light guiding region via a partition wall, and where an upper wall that blocks entrance of the infrared rays is formed on an entrance side of the infrared rays; a film that absorbs the infrared rays reaching the film through the light guiding region, and converts the infrared rays to heat; a sensor cover that is made of metal and arranged opposing the sensor case via the film; an infrared detection element and a temperature compensation element arranged on the film, wherein the light guiding region and the light shielding region have substantially symmetrical forms with respect to the partition wall.
