    摘要: An electrical connector, for electrically connecting a module to a circuit substrate, comprises an insulative housing for loading a module, a plurality of contacts received in the insulative housing, a cover pivotally connecting to an end of the insulative housing and a pair of metal ears mounted to two sides of another opposed end of the insulative housing. The metal ear has an engaging portion, a spring arm upwardly extending from a top end of the engaging portion to lock the cover and a mounting portion downwardly extending from a bottom end of the engaging portion for soldering to the circuit substrate. The electrical connector can be easily operated and provide a reliable connection.

The electrical connector has an insulative housing defining a substantially rectangular cavity in a middle thereof and a plurality of contacts received in the cavity. The pick-up cap comprises a main portion with a planar top surface and a plurality of latching arms extending from two opposite edges of the main portion for engaging with the electrical connector. Each latching arm has an engaging arm extending in a direction for engaging with the electrical connector and a pressing arm extending in an opposite direction. When the pressing arm is pressed inwardly, the engaging arm expands outwardly to release the electrical connector.

The passageways each includes a solder ball receiving slot and a pre-setting slot below the solder ball receiving slot and expanded therefrom. The electrical contacts each have a solder tail at a lower end thereof and a contact section at an upper end thereof. The solder balls and the solder tails are disposed in the solder ball receiving slot and the pre-setting slot. The pre-setting slot restricts the solder ball at a first position and the solder ball receiving slot restricts the solder ball at a second position.
