    Abstract: The present invention pertains to a cable comprising: —at least one conductor coated by an insulation coating layer, —a first protective layer surrounding said insulation coating layer, said first protective layer at least comprising, but preferably being made of a tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) copolymer comprising from 0.8% to 2.5% by weight of recurring units derived from at least one perfluorinated alkyl vinyl ether having formula (I) here below: CF2═CF—O—Rf, wherein Rf is a linear or branched C3-C5 perfluorinated alkyl group or a linear or branched C3-C12 perfluorinated alkyl group comprising one or more ether oxygen atoms, said TFE copolymer having a melt flow index comprised between 1.0 and 6.0 g/10 min, as measured according to ASTM D1238 at 372° C. under a load of 5 Kg [polymer (F)]; —optionally, a second protective layer surrounding said first protective layer, and —an armor shell surrounding said first or second protective layer. The invention also pertains to use of the cable in downhole wells.

    Abstract: The present invention pertains to a process for the manufacture of a dense film. The process includes processing, in a molten phase, a solid composition [composition (C)] comprising;
    at least one vinylidene fluoride (VDF) fluoropolymer comprising one or more carboxylic acid functional end groups [polymer (F)],
    at least one poly(alkylene oxide) (PAO) of formula (I): HO—(CH2CHRAO)n—RB  (I) wherein RA is a hydrogen atom or a C1-C5 alkyl group, RB is a hydrogen atom or a —CH3 alkyl group and n is an integer comprised between 2000 and 40000, preferably between 4000 and 35000, more preferably between 11500 and 30000, and -optionally, at least one inorganic filler [filler (I)]; thereby providing a dense film having a thickness of from 5 μm to 30 μm.
    The present invention also pertains to the dense film provided by this process and to the use of the dense film as dense separator in electrochemical devices.

    Abstract: The invention mainly pertains to a process for heat treating a composition [composition (C)] which contains at least one melt-processible perfluoropolynner [polymer (F)] formed of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) copolymer with one or more perfluorinated comonomers [comonomer (F)] containing at least one unsaturation of ethylene type in amounts from 0.5% to 13% by weight, preferably from 0.6% to 11% by weight, and more preferably from 0.8% to 9% by weight; the process comprising at least the step of heat-treating the composition (C) at a temperature of at least 260° C. and in the absence of a melt flowable polytetrafluoroethylene. The invention is also related to a melt-processible perfluoropolynner [polymer (F1)] formed of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) copolymer with one or more perfluorinated comonomers [comonomer (F)] containing at least one unsaturation of ethylene type in amounts from 0.5% to 13% by weight, preferably from 0.6% to 11% by weight, and more preferably from 0.8% to 9% by weight, wherein a particular relation between comonomer (F) content and first melting temperature of polymer (F1) is satisfied.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a polymeric composition comprising: one or more vinylidene fluoride (VDF) polymers, from 1 to 100 parts, preferably from 2 to 50 parts, more preferably from 2 to 30 parts, even more preferably from 3 to 20 parts by weight for 100 parts of VDF polymer of a plurality of particles of graphite, wherein said particles of graphite have an D90 particle size as measured with laser scattering of less than 50 μm, preferably from 2 to 30 μm more preferably from 2 to 20 μm, even more preferably from 2 to 10 μm and a BET specific surface of from 10 to 50 m2/g, preferably 15 to 35 m2/g. The invention also relates to tubular articles comprising the composition and to their use in oil and gas operations.
