摘要: Provided is an image display device for a vehicle, in which the vehicle travels on a road and includes a first image display unit that displays a transmissive image inside the vehicle for an occupant. The image display device includes a second image display unit and a display controller. The second image display unit displays a road-surface image on a road surface of the road. The display controller stops displaying any one of the transmissive image and the road-surface image, on the condition that the transmissive image displayed by the first image display unit and the road-surface image displayed by the second image display unit appear superimposed on each other.

摘要: A vehicle having a road-surface rendering function includes a light projection member, a detection device, and a control unit. The light projection member performs light projection for road-surface rendering in the traveling vehicle and renders a road-surface rendered image onto a road surface surrounding the traveling vehicle. The detection device performs detection of a detection range larger than a light projection range in which the road-surface rendered image is rendered by the light projection member. The control unit controls the light projection for the road-surface rendering by the light projection member in accordance with the detection. The control unit determines whether the road-surface rendering is adequate at least in an outer area of the road surface located outside the light projection range with respect the detection range, and suppresses the light projection when the road-surface rendered image passes a road-surface area determined as being inadequate for the road-surface rendering.

摘要: An image display device includes a light illuminator, a crossing-facility detector, an image position determiner, and an illumination controller. The light illuminator is configured to send out light frontward of a first vehicle as an own vehicle, to display an image for a pedestrian. The crossing-facility detector is configured to detect a crossing facility provided on the road. The image position determiner is configured to determine, on the basis of a position of the crossing facility, whether or not a display position of the image is included in a no-crossing region near the crossing facility. The illumination controller is configured to control display operation of the light illuminator, to prompt the pedestrian to cross along the crossing facility, on the condition that the image position determiner determines that the display position of the image is included in the no-crossing region.

The possibility calculator is configured to calculate travel possibility that a second vehicle other than the first vehicle travels through the travel space, on the basis of travel information acquired by the travel information acquirer and on the basis of a position of the travel space detected by the space detector. The illumination controller is configured to control the light illuminator to display a no-crossing image on the condition that the travel possibility is equal to or larger than a predetermined value.
