摘要: A display device including a first substrate, a pixel disposed on the first substrate and including first, second and third sub-pixel electrodes adjacent to each other, a second substrate spaced from the first substrate, a color conversion layer disposed on the second substrate and with a first wavelength conversion layer overlapping with the first sub pixel electrode and a second wavelength conversion layer overlapping with the second sub pixel electrode, a transmissive layer including a first sub-transmissive layer overlapping with the third sub-pixel electrode and a second sub-transmissive layer disposed between the first wavelength conversion layer and the second wavelength conversion layer, and a planarization layer disposed on the color conversion layer and the transmissive layer. A method of manufacturing a display device having a flatter planarization layer with reduced variations in thickness is also disclosed.

Methods of manufacturing display devices having a flatter, planarization layer with reduced variations in thickness also is disclosed.

摘要: A liquid crystal display device comprises: a first substrate; an organic layer disposed on the first substrate; a pixel electrode disposed on the organic layer; a plurality of slits defined in the pixel electrode and configured to exposed a surface of the organic layer; a liquid crystal alignment film disposed on a surface of the pixel electrode and on the surface of the organic layer exposed by the plurality of slits; and a plurality of liquid crystal molecules disposed on the liquid crystal alignment film, wherein the liquid crystal alignment film includes a first region overlapping the plurality of slits and a second region overlapping the pixel electrode, wherein the second region has a surface energy different from a surface energy of the first region.

摘要: A liquid crystal display device comprises a display panel including a first base substrate, a switching element disposed on the first base substrate, a color filter layer disposed on the switching element, and a pixel electrode disposed on the color filter layer; a counter display panel including a second base substrate and a common electrode disposed on the second base substrate and facing the display panel; a liquid crystal layer disposed between the display panel and the counter display panel and having negative dielectric anisotropy, wherein the liquid crystal layer includes at least one compound represented by Formula 1 below, and the liquid crystal layer does not include a compound represented by Formula A below; and a light-blocking spacer disposed on the display panel and including an area overlapping the switching element, and maintaining the thickness of the liquid crystal layer.

摘要: A liquid crystal composition includes at least one polar liquid crystal molecule represented by Chemical Formulas A or B. Each K is independently 1,4-cyclohexylene or 1,4-phenylene, groups connected to carbon ring of 1,4-cyclohexylene or 1,4-phenylene are all hydrogen or at least one of the groups is fluorine, and n is 1 or 2; in Chemical Formula A, X1 and X2 are independently a single bond, —CH2-, —CH2CH2-, —CF2-, —CH2O—, or —OCH2-, L1 and L2 are independently —H, —F, —CF3, or —OCF3, and R1 and R2 are independently an alkyl or alkoxy group having 1 to 9 carbon atoms or an alkenyl group having 2 to 9 carbon atoms; in Chemical Formula B, L3 and L4 are independently —H, —F, —CF3, or —OCF3, and R3 is an alkyl or alkoxy group having 1 to 9 carbon atoms or an alkenyl group having 2 to 9 carbon atoms.

摘要: A display device includes a display area including a first light-emitting area and a second light-emitting area; a peripheral area adjacent to the display area; pixels which emit incident light; an encapsulation layer covering the pixels; a first color-converting pattern corresponding to the first light-emitting area and having a refractivity; a transmission pattern corresponding to the second light-emitting area and through which the incident light is transmitted; a low refractivity layer is in the display area and facing the encapsulation layer with each of the first color-converting pattern and the transmission pattern therebetween, the low refractivity layer including: a resin and a hollow particle which define a refractivity lower than the refractivity of the first color-converting pattern; and a first dam structure in the peripheral area and spaced apart from the display area, the first dam structure and the transmission pattern being portions of a same material layer.
