Abstract: According to various embodiments, an electronic device obtains a user equipment route selection policy (URSP) rule including at least one traffic descriptor and at least one route selection descriptor; identifies that a time identified by the electronic device and/or a place identified by the electronic device corresponds to first time information and/or first place information, included in a first route selection descriptor among the at least one route selection descriptor; provides a notification to a first application identified by a first traffic descriptor among the at least one traffic descriptor corresponding to the first route selection descriptor; and performs, based on identification of a network connection request from the first application that received the notification, at least one operation for establishing a protocol data unit (PDU) session based on the first route selection descriptor corresponding to the first application.
