Abstract: An electronic device and a method are provided. The electronic device includes a communication unit configured to transmit and receive data; and a controller configured to, when a state of the electronic device that satisfies a condition for termination of a running application is detected while the application is in progress, control discovery of at least one external electronic device and transmit data of the running application to at least one electronic device selected from the discovered external electronic devices through the communication unit with an instruction for the at least one selected electronic device to process the data of the running application.

Abstract: An area selection processing apparatus for displaying a selected area and an unselected area of an image are provided. The apparatus includes a first image buffer that temporarily stores a target image currently being displayed, an image convertor that converts the target image through an image conversion method, a second image buffer that temporarily stores the target image converted through the image convertor, an area selection determining unit that determines whether an area is selected for the target image, and an area selection processor that processes the target images such that the corresponding selected area of the target image stored in the first image buffer is displayed for the selected area, and the corresponding unselected area of the converted image stored in the second image buffer is displayed for the unselected area, when the area selection determining unit determines that the specific area is selected.

Abstract: According to various examples of the present invention, an electronic device for controlling a plurality of displays can comprise: a first display for displaying a first screen; a second display for displaying a second screen; and a control unit for determining attributes of the first screen and the second screen, for determining whether to display, on a display that does not enter into an idle mode, a screen displayed on a display that enters into the idle mode in correspondence to the entry into the idle mode of either the first display or the second display, and for controlling the first display or the second display such that the first screen or the second screen is displayed thereon. In addition, various other examples are possible.
