A method of providing a user with a battery power notification in a mobile device and the mobile device therefor are provided. The method includes determining a future application to be run on the mobile device, determining whether a remaining battery life of the mobile device is enough to run the future application, based on a power consumption of a preceding application running before the future application, and outputting a notification indicating a battery insufficiency of the mobile device in response to the determining that the remaining battery life is not enough.

Provided is a method used by an electronic device to determine a cause of a trend in vital sign data, the method including: obtaining vital sign data of a target; determining a trend over time in the vital sign data; and determining a cause having a highest possibility of causing the determined trend, based on one or more possible causes of the determined trend and one or more stored weights for the possible cause, wherein the one or more stored weights each represent a possibility that the one or more possible causes of the determined trend is a cause responsible for the determined trend.

Disclosed is a method of operating a power management device for controlling a state of a plurality of electronic devices included in a system. The method includes obtaining an activation request to activate at least one electronic device from among the plurality of electronic devices, predicting power consumption of the at least one electronic device, and determining schedule information to activate the at least one electronic device based on the predicted power consumption and current power consumption of the system.

Electronic devices and methods communicate over a network with at least one other electronic device within a group of electronic devices. Each electronic device can transmit and/or receive resource information over the network, and the resource information includes a resource identifier for identifying a remote resource accessible through another electronic device and source information for identifying a location from which the remote resource can be obtained. An electronic device can select one of a plurality of resources including the remote resource, and in response to the remote resource being selected, requests the selected remote resource from the location identified by the source information in order to share the remote resource.
