    Abstract: Disclosed is research carried out by receiving support from the “Cross-Ministry Giga KOREA Project” funded by the government (Ministry of Science and ICT) in 2017 (No. GK17N0100, millimeter wave 5G mobile communication system development). Disclosed are: a communication technique for merging, with IoT technology, a 5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of 4G system; and a system therefor. The present disclosure can be applied to intelligent services (for example, smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, healthcare, digital education, retail, security, and safety related services, and the like) on the basis of 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology. Disclosed are an analysis method and device for improving the accuracy and the reliability of a network design result.

    Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing including a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion configured to be movable such that the second portion is capable of being folded with respect to the first portion, a first array antenna disposed at the first portion and including a first antenna element and a second antenna element, a second array antenna including a third antenna element and a fourth antenna element, and disposed at the second portion such that the third antenna element is aligned with the first antenna element and the fourth antenna element is aligned with the second antenna element when the electronic device is in a folded state in which the second portion of the housing is folded with respect to the first portion by using the third portion, a communication circuit electrically connected to the first array antenna and the second array antenna, and at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor may be configured to: determine whether the electronic device is in an unfolded state or a folded state based on the second portion being in the unfolded state or folded state with respect to the first portion by using the third portion, when the electronic device is in the unfolded state, form a first beam through the first antenna element and the second antenna element or a second beam through the third antenna element and the fourth antenna element by using the communication circuit, and when the electronic device is in the folded state, form a third beam through the first antenna element and the third antenna element or a fourth beam through the second antenna element and the fourth antenna element by using the communication circuit.

    Abstract: A communication technique for combining a fifth generation (5G) communication system with Internet of Things (IoT) technology for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a fourth generation (4G) system, and a system thereof, are provided. A method for identifying a transmission characteristic of a radio signal in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present disclosure comprises the steps of: identifying a signal transmission position; identifying a signal reception position; identifying an area in which a movable object is located between the signal transmission position and the signal reception position; identifying a characteristic of the movable object in the area; and identifying a transmission characteristic of a radio signal transmitted from the signal transmission position to the signal reception position based on the characteristic of the movable object.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, an operating device connected to at least one base station in a wireless communication system comprises at least one transmitter-receiver and at least one processor connected to the at least one transmitter-receiver, wherein the at least one processor can determine a coverage formed by beams of the at least one base station and change a beam operation configuration for the at least one base station when the number of beams, which can be provided to a terminal, is greater than or equal to a threshold value or another terminal is positioned outside the coverage. This study was conducted with the support of the “Cross-Ministry Giga KOREA Project” by the government (Ministry of Science, Technology and Information) in 2017 (No. GK17N0100, Development of Millimeter Wave 5G Mobile Communication System).
