A method in a control arrangement of a vehicle and a control arrangement for a vehicle for downshifting gears in an uphill slope are presented. The method comprises, when the vehicle is travelling in an uphill slope using an initial gear of the vehicle's automated manual transmission gearbox: simulating at least one speed profile for a downshift to, and a usage of, at least one gear; determining that a minimal speed of each one of the at least one simulated speed profile has a value indicating that the actual speed of the vehicle will be less than or equal to zero in the uphill slope; opening a clutch before is reduced to a value less than zero; activating at least one vehicle brake; shifting vehicle's automated manual transmission gearbox to a start gear; closing the clutch; and deactivating the at least one vehicle brake.
Abstract:
A method to control a hybrid powertrain (2) in a vehicle, the powertrain including a combustion engine (3), an electric machine (4) and a gearbox (6) with an input shaft (10) and output shaft (18), wherein the combustion engine (3) and the electric machine (4) are connected to the input shaft (10). The method includes the steps of controlling the gearbox (6) to a neutral position; controlling the speed of the electric machine (4) to a predetermined speed, corresponding to a target speed for the input shaft (10) according to the next selected gear; engaging a gear in the gearbox (6); controlling the electric machine (4), so that the electric machine (4) accelerates or decelerates depending on a requested driving torque for the vehicle (1); detecting when a control signal for the electric machine (4) corresponds to a predetermined signal value; and controlling the electric machine (4) to the requested driving torque. Also, a hybrid powertrain and a vehicle (1), and a computer program (P) and a computer program product for performing the method are disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for propelling a vehicle comprising a first power source being an internal combustion engine and a second power source comprising at least one electrical machine. The vehicle is configured to be selectively driven according to a first mode and a second mode, wherein said second mode is prioritized more in relation to fuel efficiency of said vehicle than said first mode. When a maximum power for propelling said vehicle is requested, power delivered by said first power source and said second power source is controlled such that the total power delivered by said first and said second power source exceeds the maximum deliverable power of said first power source. The total power delivered by said first and said second power source is allowed to exceed the maximum deliverable power of said first power source when said vehicle is driven according to said second mode.
Abstract:
A method for shifting in a vehicle (1) with a hybrid powertrain (2), the powertrain includes: a combustion engine (3), an electric machine (4), a gearbox (6) with an input shaft (10) and a main shaft (14), wherein the combustion engine (3) and the electric machine (4) are connected to the input shaft (10); and a lay shaft (16), via gear sets (50, 52 and 58, 60, 62) is connected to the input shaft (10) and the main shaft (14), so that they form a split gear unit (13) and a main gear unit (15). The method has the steps: a) to bring the main gear unit (15) into a substantially zero torque state, b) in the event the input shaft (10) and the lay shaft (16) must both be accelerated or decelerated: to initiate synchronization of the speed of the lay shaft (16) with, on the one hand, the speed of the input shaft (10), and, on the other hand, the speed of the main shaft (14), at a joint first point in time (t1), c) to engage a gear in the split gear unit (13) when the speed of the lay shaft (16) has been synchronized with the speed of the input shaft (10) at a second point in time (t2), and d) to engage a gear in the main gear unit (15) when the speed of the lay shaft (16) has been synchronized with the speed of the main shaft (14) at a third point in time (t3). Also a hybrid powertrain (2) and a vehicle (1), as well as a computer program (P) and a computer program product are disclosed, which perform the method.
