摘要: A multi-mode electro-mechanical variable speed transmission capable of providing two power split operation modes and at least one fixed output-to-input speed ratio operation mode. The transmission includes an input shaft, an output system, at least one planetary gear set having at least a first, second and third co-axial rotatable components, two electric machines, and at least one torque transfer device. The first co-axial rotatable component couples to the first electric machine with a constant speed ratio; the second co-axial rotatable component couples to the output system with a constant speed ratio; and the third co-axial rotatable component couples to the input shaft with a constant speed ratio; the second electric machine selectively couples to two different co-axial rotatable components of the planetary gear set with two different speed ratios. The transmission is configured to unload the torque transfer device, adjust engine power, shift one of the electric machines to a freewheeling state, and actively synchronize the speed of the electric machines with the speed of one of the engagement positions of the torque transfer device.

摘要: A transmission includes a housing, an input member connectable to an engine output member, a sleeve member, and a launch clutch assembly connected to the input member and to the sleeve member, wherein the launch clutch is selectively engageable to transmit torque from the input member to the sleeve member. A first countershaft is rotatably supported within the transmission housing. A second countershaft is rotatably supported within the transmission housing. A plurality of co-planar gear sets are connected to the input member, sleeve member, and the countershafts. A plurality of torque transmitting mechanisms are provided for coupling various components of the co-planar gear sets to the input member, sleeve member, and countershafts. The selective engagement of the launch clutch assembly and the torque transmitting mechanisms establishes at least one of five forward speed ratios and a reverse speed ratio.

A transmission module, having two inputs and a single output, includes two sub-transmissions where at least a single speed transforming gear or a single transmission clutch is located between an input and an output of each sub-transmission. The two outputs of the clutch module are connected here to the two inputs of the transmission module. Between the input and the first output of the clutch module is located a first planetary gear set, and between the input and the second output is located a second planetary gear set.

摘要: A multi-clutch power shift transmission for a motor vehicle with at least one prime mover is provided, where a shaft brake unit is arranged to reduce the rotational speed of one of two input shafts, and a central synchronizing unit is arranged to make a first of the input shafts rotate faster or slower than a second of the input shafts. The shaft brake unit and the central synchronizing unit are arranged to be simultaneously activated in order to reduce rotating speeds prior to the engagement of tooth clutches when the output shaft is not rotating. The input shaft brake unit is arranged to be used when performing a multi-step power shift.

摘要: A transmission module 1 has an input 3 which can be connected to a drive source, and an output 5 which can be connected to a differential. The transmission module 1 further has a clutch 7 and an epicyclic gearing 21 with three rotational members, of which a first rotational member 23 is connected to the clutch housing 9, a second rotational member 25 is connected to a brake 27 and a third rotational member 29 is coupled to the output 5. A transmission 31 also forms part of the transmission module 1. Between the clutch 7 and the epicyclic gearing 21 is located a partition 45 which is connected to the transmission housing 33 while a wet space 47 is formed between the partition and the transmission housing. The actuation cylinder 15 of the clutch, the operating cylinders 48 of the brake 27, as well as the oil pipes leading to it are fixed to the partition 45 as a result of which the actuation is arranged as a single module.
