In an image display system for displaying images by allowing a light irradiated from behind to be transmitted therethrough, a liquid crystal display panel unit (227) includes a liquid crystal display panel (252) having a polarizing plate (251) at least on the back surface thereof and a micro-patterned retarder (253) mounted to the rear surface of the polarizing plate (251) on the back surface of the liquid crystal display panel (252), and the liquid crystal display panel unit (227) and a diffuser panel (226) to be disposed in front thereof can be supported in the depressed state in the fore-and-aft direction by an upright wall (262) of a mounting base member (223) defining an opening section (260) in an area including the polarizing plates (250, 251) of the liquid crystal display panel (252).

摘要： A display system wherein a photograph 110 on which an image is printed is prepared. The image data of the photograph 110 is read out by a scanner 111 to make an input. A personal computer 112 subjects the input image data to a video processing. A printer 113 prints yellow, magenta and cyan by using an ink ribbon and then prints a white image and thereafter a transparent sheet is ejected therefrom. A backlight apparatus 114 irradiates irradiation light on a print surface, where the white is printed, of the transparent sheet to thereby display the image printed on the transparent sheet.

摘要： We provide quite a novel personal authentication system using heart sound waveform and/or breathing waveform pattern which promptly judges personal authentication of a person to be authenticated with a very high degree of accuracy. The personal authentication system is comprised of a waveform detection means which detects a heart sound waveform pattern and a means which compares a heart sound waveform pattern detected by the waveform detection means with a previously registered heart sound waveform pattern. If the detected heart sound waveform pattern coincides with the registered heart sound waveform pattern, the system authenticates the person to be identical. In such constitution, the system can check the autonomic heart sound which cannot be controlled by a personal will based on the previously registered heart sound waveform pattern in real time, and performs personal authentication of the person to be authenticated with very high accuracy promptly.

In other embodiments, light from a light source is reflected from an edge portion of a light transmitting member, or from a separately provided mirror, to be irradiated at a perdetermined angle onto the hologram or holographic stereogram.

摘要： An image transcription method of transcribing an image of the dye on a printing sheet outputted by e.g., a video printer onto a substrate for transcription, such as a cup of pottery or the like. For transcription, a resin is coated on the surface of the substrate for transcription to form a reception layer. This reception layer is dried in an electrical oven to form a support for transcription. A printing sheet carrying an image of a sublimable dye is stacked on the reception layer of the support for transcription and pressured to the reception layer under application of heat and pressure. As the resin for the reception layer, the acrylic resin or the epoxy resin or both are employed. If the resin composed mainly of the acrylic resin is employed, the viscosity of the resin is set to 43 to 52 seconds in terms of the Ford cup viscosity, and the resin discharge pressure from a spray gun is set to 35 kg/m2±0.01 kg.cm2. The distance between the spray gun and the substrate for transcription is set to 100 mm±5 mm, while the drying temperature is 170 to 180° C. The thickness of the reception layer is 10 to 50 &mgr;m. After transcribing the image of the sublimable dye to the reception layer, a transparent film is bonded, if necessary, as a protective film on the reception layer.
