The present invention has for its object to provide a G0 transgenic chimera bird which is introduced an antibody gene with a replication-defective retrovirus vector, and produces an antibody by expressing the transgene; a production method of an antibody which comprises recovering the antibody expressed by the produced G0 transgenic chimera bird; and a production method of a G0 transgenic chimera bird which comprises incubating a bird fertile egg, and injecting an embryo after and exclusive of a period immediately after the start of incubation with a retrovirus vector. The present invention provides a G1 transgenic bird or an offspring thereof by: incubating a fertilized avian egg, microinjecting, into the early embryo thereof at a stage except for and after the blastodermic stage just after egg laying, a replication-deficient retroviral vector coding for a useful protein, allowing the egg to hatch out to thereby obtain a G0 transgenic chimeric bird, and mating the G0 transgenic chimeric bird with another G0 transgenic chimeric bird or an offspring thereof or with a wild-type bird. The present invention provides a lentivirus vector which comprises a coat protein containing VSV-G; a recombinant bird host which is constructed by infecting a bird host with the lentivirus vector; a method of constructing the same; a transgenic chimeric bird which is constructed by infection with the lentivirus vector and offspring thereof. The present invention also provides a method of constructing a G0 transgenic chimeric bird and offspring thereof which comprises infecting fertilized bird egg early embryos with a lentivirus vector comprising a coat protein containing VSV-G, and incubating the embryos; and a G0 transgenic chimeric bird and offspring thereof which is constructed by the method mentioned above. The present invention provides a transgenic bird which is constructed by infecting a bird early embryos with a lentivirus vector comprising a coat protein pseudotyped with VSV-G.

A biocatalyst is immobilized with a graft product of a polymer and saponified polyvinyl acetate containing a stilbazolium group as a photo-crosslinking group. The polymer is preferably gelatin, collagen, starch, cellulose, gum arabic, tragacanth gum, carrageenan, mannan, dextrin or alginic acid. The graft product is prepared by bonding the polymer to the polyvinyl acetate, either directly through functional groups of the polymer and polyvinyl acetate or through a crosslinking agent. The polymer provides affinity for the biocatalyst and by grafting the polymer to the saponified polyvinyl acetate, damage to cells upon immobilization is reduced. A liquid composition containing a biocatalyst and the graft product is added to an aqueous solution of an inorganic salt or an organic salt to form a granular gel and the gel is irradiated with actinic rays to cure the gel.
