Disclosed is disc medium accommodating case for conveying a large number of disc media, in which the embedding structure for the column for stacking the disc media and the case bottom plate member is improved, whereby a sturdy case is provided which is free from deformation or breakage during handling, transportation, etc. A disc medium accommodating case includes a disc-like case bottom plate member having a diameter that is larger than the outer diameter of the disc media, a stacking column which is embedded substantially at the center of the case bottom plate member in an erect position, a protective cover member formed as a truncated cone and adapted to be placed on the case bottom plate member, and a cap for fastening the protective cover member to the case bottom plate member through the intermediation of the stacking column, wherein a column insertion hole into which the stacking column can be inserted is provided at the center of the case bottom plate member, and wherein a flange portion is provided at the base end of the stacking column. The stacking column is inserted into the column insertion hole from the back side of the case bottom plate member to join the flange portion with the back side of the case bottom plate member by ultrasonic welding.
Abstract:
A container casing exchangeably holding an optical disc that can be loaded on a disc drive device as it holds an optical disc. The container casing includes a casing main member having a disc housing section for holding the disc-shaped recording medium towards its major surface, an aperture for recording and/or reproducing the disc-shaped recording medium held in the disc housing section and a center opening for rotationally driving the disc-shaped recording medium held in the disc housing section. The casing main member rotatably carries a cover member for opening/closing the disc housing section and an opening/closure controlling members. These opening/closure controlling members are moved between the first position engaging with the cover member and the second position disengaged from the cover member to control the opening/closure of the cover member to enable opening/closure of the cover member to enable exchange of the optical disc while assuring the positively closed state of the disc housing section.
Abstract:
An accommodating case adapted for accommodating a disc cartridge therewithin. This accommodating case includes a bottom plate on which the disc cartridge is mounted, and a pair of side walls provided in a manner opposite to each other on the both sides of the bottom plate, and comprises a case body in which at least the upper surface side and the front side are opened, and a cover body adapted so that the base end portion side is rotatably supported at the back side of the case body, and fitted between a pair of side walls to close the range or portion at least from the upper surface side toward the front side of the case body. At the inner surface sides opposite to each other of the pair of side walls provided at the case body, there are respectively provided limiting portions for supporting both side edges of the cover body to limit the cover closing position when the cover body is rotated so that it is located at the position where it closes the range or portion from the upper surface side toward the front side of the case body. The disc cartridge to be accommodated can be inserted into the case body in a desired insertion direction form the opened portion extending from the upper surface side toward the front side of the case body.
Abstract:
A disk cartridge that has high durability with respect to a drop impact is provided. The disk cartridge includes: a disk-like recording medium; a cartridge case that rotatably accommodates the disk-like recording medium and is formed with a first opening that exposes a part of the disk-like recording medium; an inner rotor that is rotatably supported inside the cartridge case and includes a main surface portion formed with a second opening corresponding to the first opening; shutter members that are movable between a closing position at which the first opening is closed and an opening position at which the first opening is opened in accordance with a rotation of the inner rotor; and a buffer mechanism that is formed on the main surface portion of the inner rotor and includes rotary shafts that rotatably support the shutter members and elastic support portions that respectively support the rotary shafts and can be elastically deformed with respect to the main surface portion.
Abstract:
A disc cartridge accommodating an optical disc in a cartridge body. The disc cartridge includes a cartridge body formed by mating and joining upper and lower halves mated together. A plurality of fusing portions for mating and fusing the upper and lower halves are provided at positions corresponding to recess portions for accommodating an optical disc. Each fusing portion is provided with a mating projection formed at one of the upper and lower halves and a mating projection formed at the other of the upper and lower halves. A plurality of mating projections formed at either half comprise mating projections having projections for fusing annularly and continuously formed over the entire circumference of the end surfaces to be mated to the mating projections of the other half and mating projections having projections for fusing formed in the form of an arc in one part of the end surfaces.
Abstract:
A double-side optical disc formed by a pair of optical disc halves bonded together, and a process for producing the double-side optical disc. An adhesive is applied to the disc halves, which are then bonded together at an angle relative to each other in which the direction of the adhesive flow on one disc half will intersect the direction of the adhesive flow on the other disc half. In this manner, satisfactory flatness of the optical disc may be achieved without being affected by surface irregularities of the adhesive layer.
Abstract:
A disk cartridge includes, between a recordable position and an unrecordable position, a first guide surface that gradually increases an elastic force of an elastic arm of a tab member and a second guide surface that gradually decreases the elastic force of the elastic arm, and a guide wall (guide portion) on which the guide surfaces are formed continuously.

Abstract:
A disk cartridge is provided. The disk cartridge includes a cartridge case including an upper shell having an inner circumferential wall and a lower shell having a first opening for recording and/or playback; an inner rotor rotatably disposed in the cartridge case and having a second opening corresponding to the first opening and an annular portion on the periphery thereof; and shutter members disposed between the inner rotor and the lower shell and rotatably attached to the inner rotor. The shutter members open the first and second openings when the inner rotor rotates so that the second opening agrees with the first opening. The inner circumferential wall of the upper shell is disposed inside the annular portion. The inner rotor has a groove opposite the leading end of the inner circumferential wall inside the annular portion. The groove has a width larger than the thickness of the leading end of the inner circumferential wall.
