摘要： Predetermined voltage is applied to a liquid crystal lens by a liquid crystal lens driver. Image signals are generated based on an optical image passed through the liquid crystal lens during transient response operation caused by application of the predetermined voltage, and plural focus signals are extracted by sampling the image signals of the area from which the focus signals are extracted at predetermined cycles. Levels of the extracted focus signals are compared to determine the maximum value of the focus signal. Thus, with the liquid crystal lens, by making use of the transient response operation of the liquid crystal lens, a focus point can be detected in sufficient speed.

摘要： An airbag system includes belt support members for housing support belts used for coupling an airbag to a vehicle body, and belt covers disposed over the belt support members. A central cover panel on the vehicle body is adjacent to an airbag module in which an airbag is accommodated. Left and right cover panels are engaged with, and disposed laterally outside of the central cover panel in the vehicle-width direction. The belt support members are configured by overhanging parts of the central cover panel, which are overhung laterally outside, and extension parts of the cover panels and which extend laterally inside; and both of these components are engaged with each other through engaging portions in the belt support members. Notches are provided in the extension parts, extending in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle body outside in the vehicle-width direction relative to the engaging portions.

摘要： An air bag system is provided wherein a support belt for coupling an airbag to a vehicle body is accommodated in an accommodation part provided in the vehicle body. A belt cover is engaged from above so as to cover the accommodation part. The belt cover is configured to be removed from the accommodation part along with swelling and expansion of the airbag. A wire is coupled to the vehicle body inside the accommodation part so as not to be moved apart from the vehicle body over a predetermined length at the time of removing. The wire is arranged inside the accommodation part, and is coupled to a fixation plate to be connected to a frame of the vehicle body. By inserting the wire into through-holes of the fixation plate, the wire is coupled to the vehicle body, and both ends thereof are connected to the belt cover.

摘要： An AC/DC switch for electric power tools avoids bouncing when turned on, but assures quick cutting-off of heavy current. Operation does not vary with age, as might be caused by wearing of projections of the switching mechanism and/or inconsistency in spring material. A reversal spring quickly switches the mechanism on and off so that the movable contacts are brought close to the stationary contacts before the turning-on, thereby permitting the turning-on subsequent to traverse of the reversal point without bouncing of the movable contacts from the stationary contacts, and preventing movement of the movable contacts before reversal spring has stored increased energy, thus allowing quick release of stored energy to make the movable contacts leave the stationary contacts at a speed sufficient to prevent electric arcs between the movable and stationary contacts, and hence prevent the wearing of the contacts.
