摘要： In a sensor network system, a communications network connects a set of sensors to a server collectively managing the set of sensors. First, the sensor-managing server acquires remaining drive times of batteries in the sensors, and specifies a target remaining drive time. The server then controls the operation of the sensors so that the remaining drive times of the batteries in the sensors are substantially equal to the target remaining drive time. This reduces the maintenance workload for a system manager, especially, in the recharging of the sensor batteries.

摘要： A robot includes a robot sensor for sensing abnormality around the robot, a moving portion for moving the robot main body, and a movement control unit for controlling the moving portion so that the robot main body is moved to a destination determined according to the information sensed by a fixed-position sensor fixed to a predetermined position outside the robot. The moving destination may be determined by the total control unit of the robot main body according to the information from the fixed-position sensors or by a center communicating with the robot according to the information from the fixed-position sensors. Since abnormality is sensed by the fixed-position sensors together with the robot sensor, the fixed-position sensors may have low accuracy obtained at a low cost. That is, by reducing the cost required for collecting external information, such as by the fixed-position sensor, it is possible to provide a monitoring system capable of collecting ambient information (such as abnormality information) without lowering the accuracy.

摘要： The object of this invention is to offer an information mediating system which can mediate the specific information out of the received information from an information provider. The specific information is information which fulfills the objective specification. This system charges a service fee to the information beneficiary, and pays a compensation to the information provider. The service fee and the compensation are offset for each terminal. The information beneficiary and provider are selected each time according to the objective specification. An information mediating system provided with a plurality of terminals which have both information sending and receiving functions, or either an information sending or a receiving function through a network, and provided with an information mediator which has an information mediating function to mediate an received information through the network. The information mediating function comprises 1) a grouping function to select an information provider and an information beneficiary out of the plurality of terminals according to an objective specification to specify a specific information to be obtained; and 2) a data transmission function to transmit the specific information obtained from the selected information provider, which fulfills the objective specification, to the selected information beneficiary through the network.

Thus, it is possible to report the abnormal state of the vehicle sensed to an appropriate report destination in a short time.

The abnormality determining unit (20a) carries out the determination on ground of sensing results obtained by the vibration sensing units (15) of the respective vehicles (1) and a result of specification carried out by the sensed time specifying unit (20b). With this, a possibility of incorrectly identifying a vibration not being attributed to preparations for theft as a vibration attributed to preparations for theft.
