摘要： An electrical connector for electrically connecting a module to a printed circuit board, comprises an insulative housing receiving the module, a plurality of contacts received in the insulative housing and a cover pivotally assembled to the insulative housing. The cover presses upon the module and extends beyond a rear end of the insulative housing to further limit or press a part of the module exposed outside the insulative housing. The electrical connector can reliably retain the module.

摘要： A pick up cap for an LGA connector, the connector has a housing which defines a multiplicity of passageways, a plurality of electrical contacts received in the passageways, a metal clip and a pick up cap. The clip defines a rectangular window in the middle thereof. Around the window there are two opposite sidepieces and two opposite urging sides. The pick up cap is detachably mounted on the clip. The pick up cap has a rectangular planar body which defines two opposite end portions and two opposite side portions. Each of the two side portions has a waist. When the pick up cap is mounted on the clip, two end portions engage with two opposite sidepieces, two opposite sidepieces and two opposite end portions cooperatively define two rifts therebetween.

摘要： An IC contact (1) for use in an LGA socket includes a retention portion (10), a contact portion (11) extending from the retention portion, a solder terminal portion (12) extending opposite to the contact portion, and a connecting section (13) connected between the retention portion and the solder terminal portion. The connecting section is bent from a sheet of material and configured to have a multi-curved shape. Such a multi-curved connecting section does provide a high contact force for deflection, and is capable of attaining high compliance, thereby having no portion cracked during a reflow solder process.

摘要： The electrical connector has an insulative housing and a number of contacts embedded in the housing and distributed in rows and columns. Each of the contact has a pair of contacting arms with a contacting portion thereon for electrically connecting with a pad of the electronic package. The contacting portions of the contacts are arranged in a pattern of contact portions of two adjacent contacts in same row can engage with a same pad on the electronic package when the electrical connector is coupled with the electronic package, such that the contacts of the row are coupled with each other in series. By way above mentioned, pitch between two adjacent contacts can be reduced and a high density of the contacts can be achieved.

摘要： An electrical connector for electrically connecting an integrated circuit package to a circuit substrate includes a first and a second unit sections, and each unit section has a number of terminals received therein. Each unit section includes a mating surface, an opposed mounting surface, a fixing edge, and an engaging edge. The engaging edge of the first unit section has a protruding tongue, and the engaging edge of the second unit section defines a recessed portion for engaging the protruding tongue. An interlocking device is formed between the protruding tongue and the recessed portion, so that the protruding tongue is capable of overlapping and combined with the recessed portion via the interlocking device to make the first and the second unit sections become a unitary structure.
