    摘要: A tunnel oven for heating transported carbonaceous materials includes an enclosure having a passage and a transport device for moving solid carbonaceous materials through and along a length of the passage. A direct convection heater is operably connected to the enclosure to heat the solid carbonaceous material as the material is moved along the length of the passage. A temperature controller is operably coupled to the heater to provide one or more selected temperatures along the length of the passage. An atmosphere controller controls the heating atmosphere along the length of the passage so that the surface of the solid carbonaceous material is protected against oxidation.

    摘要: A cyclone separator cooler separates particles from an injected mixture of gas and particulate matter. The inside of the cyclone separator is provided with a flow of liquid. An inside wall of the cyclone separator is at least partially coated with the flowing liquid. Particulate solids in the injected gas and solids mixture are moved to the wall of the cyclone separator by centrifugal force and are removed along with the flow of liquid. The liquid facilitates separation and removal of the particles and also cools the cyclone separator and the gas mixture flowing through it.

The impurity content of the raw carbon source material to is adjusted to within an acceptable consistent range of impurity content. The raw carbon source material is heated in a non-oxidizing environment to adjust the tar content and to remove volatile hydrocarbon constituents and to produce a devolatilize carbon source material. The devolatilized carbon source material is gasified by heating the carbon source material to a gasification temperature in a gasification generator, supplying steam, and supplying enhanced oxygen content air to react with the devolatilized carbon source material and to thereby form consistent, high energy value, low impurity producer gas.
