摘要: A rotatable louver assembly (20) for a fan discharge duct (14). The louver assembly has at least two louver slats (21, 22) that are fixed in spatial relationship with respect to each other. A first or upper louver slat (21) has a shape that conforms generally to the shape of a first or upper wall (41) of the discharge duct. The second or lower louver slat (22) has a shape that conforms generally to the shape of a second or lower wall (42) of the discharge duct. The louver assembly has at least two positions. In one position the first louver slat is generally aligned with and spaced from the upper wall to define a generally constant cross-section low loss passageway therebetween for directing air horizontally. In another position the second louver slat is generally aligned with the lower wall to define a generally constant cross-section low loss passageway therebetween for directing the air generally vertically. The assembly may have a third position in which one of the louver slats at least partially blocks the outlet.

摘要: A mixed flow fan and heat exchanger assembly is "blow through" in that the fan discharges air into the upstream face of the heat exchanger which provides a flow resistance. The fan is mixed flow so that there are both axial and significant radial components to the air flow exiting the fan impeller. The radial components result in a static pressure facilitating flow through the heat exchanger. The assembly includes an impeller having a generally cylindrical hub and a number of backwardly swept blades. The impeller has an outlet swept radius that is greater than its inlet swept radius. A shroud encloses the impeller and guides the air flow into the impeller and to the heat exchanger. The cylindrical hub and a blade apparent solidity of less than one make the fan impeller adaptable to manufacturing in a single piece by a molding process. In a second embodiment there is a downstream blockage and the radial components to the air flow reduce impingement upon the blockage.

摘要: Changing the tip of the vortex wall to an ellipse can increase flow performance by having the short side of the ellipse define a portion of the converging diverging section while quieter operation can be achieved by having the long side of the ellipse define a portion of the converging diverging section with no other changes. A combination of increased flow and reduced noise can be achieved by combining changing the clearance between the vortex wall and the impeller with an elliptical surface as well as by reorienting the elliptical surface.

摘要: A system for providing tactile/audible feedback to three-touch stroke motion. The system includes a multi-touch device operable to produce an event signal by detecting any touch-motion event by one or more user-controlled objects. The touch-motion event includes a three-touch stroke motion characterized by substantially simultaneous three-point touch followed by a stroke motion along the multi-touch device before lifting the user-controlled objects. The system further includes a controller configured to process the event signal and generate a drive signal for an event dispatcher. Additionally, the system includes an event handler being coupled to the event dispatcher to subscribe the drive signal. The event handler is configured to select a graphic object that is enabled with the drive signal specifically associated with the three-touch stroke motion applied to said graphic object on the touch device to provide either a tactile response or an audible response or both.

摘要: A method and system for capturing an electronic signature of a user in a Java-based environment on a personal digital assistant. A user is prompted by an applet operating on the personal digital assistant, handling a canvas by the applet, and capturing an instance of the electronic signature on the canvas. The canvas encodes the instance of the electronic signature in a file and transfers the file by the canvas to the applet. A personal digital assistant may include a screen sensitive to pressure for capturing a signature and an application adapted to capture and attach the signature to a business object. The application may also include an applet adapted to prompt a user and adapted to handle a canvas. The canvas is adapted to capture an instance of the electronic signature and encode the instance in a file. The file is transferred by the canvas to the applet.

摘要: A method for testing processors is disclosed. The method includes generating a plurality of pools, where each pool includes a test program that includes a plurality of test cases, and setting a flag for each of the plurality of pools indicating that the pool is ready to be executed. Each processor performs a pool execution cycle a predetermined number of times. The pool execution cycle includes selecting a pool that is ready to be executed and unsetting the flag for the selected pool, performing an execution cycle of the test program included in the selected pool, and setting the flag indicating that the pool is ready to be executed upon completion of the execution cycle of the test program. The execution cycle of the test program includes regenerating a test case to create a new case that is flagged as the next test case for execution in the execution cycle.
