Abstract:
A gantry tower spraying system with a cartridge/receptacle assembly includes a gantry and a spray assembly coupled to the gantry to allow for translational movement of the spray assembly along the gantry. The spray assembly includes a receptacle for receiving a cartridge containing a cosmetic liquid for skin treatment, and a spray nozzle coupled to the receptacle for receiving the cosmetic liquid and dispensing the cosmetic liquid in a spray. The receptacle has an inner surface of a size and shape to generally conform to a size and shape of a portion of an outer surface of the cartridge. The spraying system can further be provided with an oscillation mechanism adapted to cause oscillation of the spray nozzle. The bottle can be provided with a keying mechanism for engaging a corresponding key structure of the receptacle.
Abstract:
A spray device for coating a surface of a human body with a spray liquid, the spray device including at least one nozzle and at least one liquid container, wherein the at least one liquid container adapted to hold a volume of spray liquid substantially equal to an amount required to apply a single dosage of the spray liquid for coating a surface of a human body. The spray device further includes a liquid channel adapted to connect the at least one liquid container to the at least one nozzle, and a spray valve adapted to cause the spray liquid to flow from the at least one liquid container to the at least one nozzle using the liquid channel, the at least one nozzle producing a spray jet of the spray liquid. The spray device still further includes a control device adapted to control the operation of the spray device, and a sweeping device for sweeping the spray jet from the at least one nozzle to coat at least a portion of the human body.

Abstract:
An apparatus and method for electrostatically coating a body surface with a coating composition. An apparatus of the present invention includes an enclosure, a mount positioned on the enclosure, and an electrostatic nozzle connected to the mount, the electrostatic nozzle adapted for passing the coating composition for deposition on the body surface. The apparatus further includes a floor surface within the enclosure, the floor surface having a resistive electrical connection.
Abstract:
An illustrative embodiment of a computer-implemented process for scalable group synthesis receives a group definition, applies a sub-set of conditions to the group definition to form a conditioned group definition, receives a set of entities and populates group membership using the received set of entities and the conditioned group definition, wherein each member responds in the affirmative to the sub-set of conditions.
Abstract:
An electronic trading system and method are disclosed for implementing an electronic trading protocol that permits buyers and sellers to “negotiate in the middle” or “NIM” i.e., to negotiate the purchase and sale of an item (e.g., securities) at a price between or equal to the best current bid and offer prices for the item through the submission of an initial NIM order and one or more NIM counteroffer orders. In a preferred embodiment, each NIM session may comprise two phases, a NIM private phase and a NIM public phase. During the NIM private phase, the initial NIM order is presented only to the trader on the opposite side of the market with the highest ranked order based on price and time priority. During the NIM public phase, the initial NIM order is presented to all traders on the opposite side of the market with pending orders at the best market price. The trader who submitted the initial NIM order is preferably granted authority to determine whether or not a public phase for the NIM should be allowed.
Abstract:
A coaxial jack has an electrically groundable housing including first and second ports, a printed circuit board supporting a terminating element and conductive traces, and a center conductor disposed within the electrically groundable housing. The center conductor extends through a hole in the printed circuit board and is normally coupled to the electrically groundable housing contact through the terminating element and the conductive traces. A grounding spring has a leaf spring that acts as switch to break the coupling when a plug is inserted into the first port.
Abstract:
A voice multi-tap apparatus for a communications system, the apparatus including an input connector (12) accommodating at least four input circuits, plurality of output connectors (13a-13d) incorporating respective output circuits coupled to respective input circuits; and at least one of said output connectors incorporating a second output circuit coupled to one of the input circuits via a switching device (14) whereby the operation of said switching device allows said at least one output connector service two circuits.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a new composition for treating pain-associated sleep disturbances, especially shortened sleep duration, comprising ibuprofen and diphenhydramine. The composition is further prepared as a bilayer tablet or caplet, or alternatively as a soft gelatin capsule composition, to prevent interaction between the active ingredients.
