摘要: A robotic device is manually driven along a perimeter of a Region Of Interest (ROI) or along a Path Of Interest (POI) for future autonomous operation. An Initial Point (IP) is established by identifying a unique machine recognizable feature, for example, a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag located at the IP. The robotic device is then manually driven along the perimeter or along the path and sensors carried by the robotic device collects data to characterize the ROI or POI. The sensors may include sonar, vision systems, laser, or radar devices for measuring relative positions of a wall, stairs, or obstacles. Wheel odometry may be used to track distances traveled and data fusion exercised to combine the odometry data with the sonar and/or laser measurements to model the ROI or POI. Characterization is performed by collecting points along a wall, fitting a line to the points, and finding the intersections of consecutive lines.

摘要: A protein scaffold based on a consensus sequence of the tenth fibronectin type III (FN3) repeat from human fibronectin, including isolated nucleic acids that encode a protein scaffold, vectors, host cells, and methods of making and using thereof have applications in diagnostic and/or therapeutic compositions, methods and devices. In particular, protein scaffold molecules binding to IgG based on the consensus sequence have been identified as useful for diagnostic and/or therapeutic applications.

摘要: An improved sensor array for a mobile vehicle. The vehicle includes a centerline parallel to a vehicle velocity vector. The sensor array comprises a first sensor mounted to the mobile vehicle at a maximum lateral distance from the centerline near a first side of mobile vehicle and a second sensor mounted to the mobile vehicle at a maximum lateral distance from the centerline near a second side of the vehicle opposite the first side. The first sensor transmits a forward pointing first beam and the second sensor transmits a forward pointing second beam, both beams for detecting an object in the path of the vehicle. A plurality of first oblique beams are pointed to intersect the first beam and a plurality of second oblique beams are pointed to intersect the second beam. The oblique beams, in conjunction with the first and second beams form zones of overlapping beam coverage for better localization of objects in the path of the vehicle.

摘要: An apparatus for determining an area of a surface which is traversed and treated by an object during a unit of time is configured for use with a moveable object that has a first axis of a known length. The object is capable of movement along a second axis and the first and second axes define an angle between them which is other than 0.degree.. A signalling means includes a sensor which may be mounted in a motion-sensing relationship to the object for providing a motion signal when the object moves a distance along the second axis. The motion signal has a predetermined relationship to that distance. A timing means repetitively provides a plurality of timing signals, each sequential pair of which defines an interval of time of known duration. A computing means is coupled to the timing means and to the signalling means for receiving at least one sequential pair of timing signals and at least one motion signal. The computing means thereby initiate a display of the area of the surface which is traversed by the first axis per unit of time and therefore treated as the object moves along the second axis.
