摘要： A vehicle/engine acceleration rate management system includes means for determining vehicle acceleration rate and a control computer providing a fueling signal to an internal combustion engine fueling system. The control computer is responsive to a gear ratio signal indicative of one of a plurality of selectable transmission gear ratios currently engaged with the engine and a vehicle acceleration rate signal to control the vehicle acceleration rate by limiting the fueling signal whenever the vehicle acceleration rate signal exceeds a vehicle acceleration limit function. In one embodiment, such vehicle acceleration rate limiting is performed only for vehicle speeds above a threshold vehicle speed, and an identical engine acceleration rate limiting procedure is performed at vehicle speeds below the threshold vehicle speed. In either case, such acceleration rate limiting is preferably only performed under manual control of engine fueling via an accelerator pedal or the like.

摘要： An implement for transporting and wrapping large round bales of forage material includes an elongated transporter having longitudinally extending rails and an endless chain associated with each rail to move large bales of forage material rearwardly along the rails toward the bale wrapper connected to the rearward end of the transporter. The bale wrapper can be devoid of wheels and is carried between job sites on top of the transporter bed, being loaded and unloaded through use of the endless chains associated with each rail. The bale wrapper receives operative power from the transporter drive mechanism. A bale loader elevates round bales from the ground onto the rails. Once fully loaded, a push gate pushes the round bales rearwardly toward the bale wrapper.

摘要： The apparatus is a coupling device that couples a cart to a continuously moving towline which is recessed into the cart support surface. A vertically movable coupling pin engages the towline and is lifted away from the towline to disengage the cart from the towline. To prevent irregularities in the support surface from accidentally lifting the pin away from the towline, the pin is attached to the cart through a structure that also permits the cart to move freely relative to the pin but maintain the pin engaged with the towline. The preferred embodiment attaches the coupling pin to a movable tube that moves within a fixed tube, and the movable tube also can be lifted by a cam and locked into a position with the pin disengaged.

摘要： A large bale transporter and an accompanying bale wrapper create a system for wrapping plastic around large bales retrieved by the transporter. The transporter has a loading apparatus that deposits large bales onto the load bed of the transporter until filled. The transporter is then manipulated to connect to a bale wrapper physically and operatively so that the bales can be moved into the wrapping apparatus. The frame of the transporter is pivotally connected to the axle to allow the rear end of the frame to be lowered to the ground to engage the bale wrapper and/or retrieve previously wrapped bales. The wrapping apparatus is powered by the drive mechanism of the transporter and is automatically disengaged when a pusher member placed at the end of the bales being discharged engages the drive coupler. An endless chain drive is drivable in opposite directions to move the bales on the transporter.
