摘要: A method for generating timing constraint systems, where the constrained object is a digital circuit, is provided, where the constraints are generated for the use of a digital logic optimization (synthesis) tool. The synthesis tool is used to optimize the circuit, under the applied constraints, so that the circuit exhibits certain desirable timing properties, while at the same time minimizing hardware cost and various other properties. The particular class of timing constraints generated by the disclosed invention is useful when the circuit is to be retimed after optimization. Typically, the joint use of the described invention and retiming results in improvements in the overall cost/performance tradeoff curve of the design. The invention comprises a method that comprises the following steps: (1) the flip-flops of the design are replaced with buffers having a negative delay whose magnitude is approximately the desired clock cycle time of the design; and (2) cycles in the design are broken using flip-flops having an infinite or quasi-infinite clock frequency. Following optimization by the synthesis tool, the temporary changes can be reverted, and retiming performed on the circuit.

摘要: A method for obtaining diagnostic information about a region of a living being, the region having a medical device with a radiopaque portion disposed therein. An X-ray beam having a first energy level in excess of the K-absorption edge of the radiopaque portion of the medical device is directed at the region to obtain a first image information and radiographically locate the medical device within the living being and an X-ray beam having second energy level at or below the K-absorption edge is applied to the region to obtain a second image information.

摘要: A system for sensing light transmitted with reduced optical aberrations into the interior of an enclosure utilizing a liquid filled cavity. A window is disposed on the exterior surface of the enclosure for allowing light to pass into the enclosure. A lens is disposed on the interior side of the window, defining a cavity between the window and the lens. A fluid is disposed within that cavity. An optical sensor is disposed in the interior of the enclosure, and positioned to receive light through the window and the lens. The exterior surface of the window is shaped to conform to the exterior surface of the enclosure. The fluid is selected for having an index of refraction that minimizes the mismatch with the index of refraction of the window.

摘要: A wall mountable assembly such as a wall mountable towel ring or the like includes a base part and an object support part extending from the base part. The base part is formed from a wall attachment member and a cover member which fits over the wall attachment member. The wall attachment member has an arm which extends through the cover member and which secures by a pivot connection to a cam member at the inner end of the object support part of the assembly. The object support part is swingable from a non-use to a use position relative to the base part to cause the cam member to move between a loose and a tight fitting with respect to the cover of the base part. The assembly further includes a locking member which releasably secures to the cam member and which blocks the cam member from moving away from the tight fitting holding all of the components of the assembly tightly secured to one another.

摘要: A control system is provided for a rolling mill that feeds sheet material from an unwind reel to a rewind reel, passing it between a pair of work rolls. The control system includes a speed sensor for sensing speed of the sheet material and a sensor for measuring material thickness. A force controller controls force exerted on the sheet material by the work rolls. A tension controller controls tension on the unwind reel. A programmed controller is operatively connected to the speed sensor, the force controller and the tension controller, and stores information representing cyclical deviations in thickness of the sheet material and controls the force controller and the tension controller using the stored information and the sensed speed.
