    摘要: A blend of polymeric materials comprising (A) of from about 1 to about 99.99 weight percent based on the combined weights of Components A, B and C of at least one substantially random interpolymer; and wherein said interpolymer; (1) contains of from about 0.5 to about 65 mole percent of polymer units derived from; (a) at least one vinyl or vinylidene aromatic monomer, or (b) at least one hindered aliphatic or cycloaliphatic vinyl or vinylidene monomer, or (c) a combination of at least one vinyl or vinylidene aromatic monomer and at least one hindered aliphatic or cycloaliphatic vinyl or vinylidene monomer; (2) contains of from about 35 to about 99.5 mole percent of polymer units derived from at least one aliphatic &agr;-olefin having from 2 to 20 carbon atoms; (3) has a molecular weight (Mn) greater than about 1,000; (4) has a melt index (I2) of from about 0.01 to about 1,000; (5) has a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of from about 1.5 to about 20; and (B) of from about 99 to about 0.01 weight percent based on the combined weights of Components A, B, and C of one or more conductive additives and/or one or more additives with high magnetic permeability ; and (C) of from 0 to about 98.99 weight percent based on the combined weights of Components A, B, and C of one or more polymers other than A.

    摘要: A process for preparing a coated article which includes the step of electromotively coating an article molded or extruded from a composition having a conductivity of at least about 10.sup.-14 Siemens/cm (S/cm) comprising (a) a thermoplastic polymer, thermoset polymer, or mixture thereof and (b) an electronically conductive charge transfer complex or inherently semiconducting polymer different from (a). It has been discovered that the process of the invention provides a means by which electromotively coated polymer articles may be conveniently prepared.

    摘要: The invention is an article comprising at least partially a catalytic, metal-containing, electrically conducting coordination polymer. In addition, this invention includes a process of manufacturing the article comprising applying a mixture containing a catalytic, metal-containing, electrically conducting coordination polymer to a substrate and drying said fluid to form a coating. This invention also encompasses an electrolytic cell comprising a cell body and a cathode spaced apart from an anode, said anode comprising a catalytic, metal-containing, electrically conducting coordination polymer. Another aspect of this invention is a process for generating reduction-oxidation reaction products comprising electrolyzing a solution in the above described electrolytic cell.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a composition and to a display device having the composition positioned between electrodes. The composition contains: (a) a compound that undergoes a reversible redox reaction to generate a pH gradient between the two electrodes, (b) an indicator dye, (c) a charge transport material, and optionally, (d) a matrix material and (e) an opacifier, and (f) secondary redox couple wherein components (a), (b), and (c) are different from one another and the standard reduction potential of component (a) is less than the standard reduction potential for the other components. Depending on the electric field present between the electrodes, a display image may be generated.
