Abstract: In a coil 5 of a multilayer coil component 1, an end portion 6a of a turn 6 closest to a side surface 2e in the facing direction of the side surface 2e and a side surface 2f is connected to a first external electrode 3 and an end portion 11a of a turn 11 closest to the side surface 2f in the facing direction of the pair of side surfaces 2e and 2f is connected to a second external electrode 4. The area at which the turn 6 faces the second external electrode 4 and the area at which the turn 11 faces the first external electrode 3 are smaller than the area at which turns 7, 8, 9, and 10 other than the turn 6 and the turn 11 face the first external electrode 3 or the second external electrode 4.

Abstract: A magnetoresistive effect device includes a magnetoresistive effect element first and second ports, a signal line, an inductor, and a direct current input terminal. The first port, the magnetoresistive effect element, and the second port are connected in series in this order via the signal line. The inductor is connected to one of the signal line between the magnetoresistive effect element and the first port and the signal line between the magnetoresistive effect element and the second port and is capable of being connected to ground. The direct-current input terminal is connected to the other of the above signal lines. A closed circuit including the magnetoresistive effect element, the signal line, the inductor, the ground, and direct-current input terminal is capable of being formed. The magnetoresistive effect element is arranged so that direct current flows in a direction from a magnetization fixed layer to a magnetization free layer.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a coil component that includes a coil pattern embedded in an element body and helically wound in a plurality of turns. The element body includes a support body having a cavity formed therein and a first insulating layer stacked on the support body so as to cover the cavity, thereby forming a hollow space inside the element body. The coil pattern includes a plurality of first sections formed along an inner wall of the cavity and a plurality of second sections formed on the first insulating layer. One ends of the plurality of first sections are connected respectively to their corresponding one ends of the plurality of second sections. The other ends of the plurality of first sections are connected respectively to their corresponding other ends of the plurality of second sections.
