Abstract: Described examples include an integrated circuit having first and second transistors. The first transistor includes a plurality of trenches extending into a semiconductor substrate and a plurality of source regions, each source region located between a pair of adjacent trenches. A first source terminal is connected to the plurality of source regions. The second transistor includes a central source region between a pair of the trenches and a second source terminal connected to the central source region. The second source terminal is conductively isolated from the first source terminal.

Abstract: A power source multiplexer includes a first switch circuit connected between a first input voltage source node and an output voltage node. A second switch circuit is connected between a second input voltage source node and the output voltage node. A driver circuit is configured to provide a steady-state current to drive one of the first or second switch circuits to electrically connect the respective input voltage source node to the output voltage node. A boost circuit is configured to boost the steady-state current for a switching time interval when switching from one of the input voltage source nodes being connected to the output node to the other of the input voltage source nodes being connected to the output voltage node.

Abstract: A switch for controlling a power supply and a method of operating the switch are disclosed. The switch includes a first transistor having a drain and a source connected between VIN and VOUT and a gate connected to be driven to a first voltage that is greater than VIN, an external capacitor operable, when connected to the gate of the first transistor, to control a rise time of VOUT, and a circuit coupled to the gate of the first transistor and to the external capacitor, the circuit connected to couple the external capacitor to the gate of the first transistor responsive to an enable signal turning on and to uncouple the external capacitor from the gate of the first transistor responsive to the voltage on the gate reaching the first voltage.

Abstract: Apparatus, devices, and systems to provide a low quiescent current load switch are disclosed. A disclosed load switch circuit includes a transconductor to convert a voltage to a current input to a transistor gate, the current input to the transistor gate to control the gate to deliver power to a load from a power supply. The example circuit includes a resistor to provide power from a charge pump to the gate as controlled by the transconductor. A disclosed apparatus includes a driver to control a gate of a transistor, the gate to enable the transistor to deliver power to a load from a power supply when the gate is activated, and a gate slope control to control a rate of change over time of a voltage associated with the gate to activate the gate and to disable the driver when the gate is activated.
