Abstract: During a hybrid drive, a hybrid vehicle sets an engine required power based on a driving required power and controls an engine to output the engine required power, while controlling a motor to drive the hybrid vehicle with the driving required power. When a catalyst temperature of an exhaust emission control device is equal to or lower than a predetermined temperature that requires warming up, in the state that an output upper limit power which a power storage device is allowed to output is equal to or larger than a predetermined power, the hybrid vehicle sets a power calculated by subtracting the output upper limit power from the driving required power, to the engine required power. In the state that the output upper limit power is smaller than the predetermined power, the hybrid vehicle sets the driving required power to the engine required power.

Abstract: A vehicle includes an engine, a transmission mechanism, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit performs first switching control when there is a request for switching from a low mode to a high mode. The first switching control is to release a first engagement mechanism, and switch a second engagement mechanism to an engaged state when a difference between input and output rotational speeds of the second engagement mechanism becomes equal to or smaller than a permissible value.

Abstract: A control system for hybrid vehicles that prevents an occurrence of shock resulting from manually shifting an operating mode is provided. The control system is configured to switch an operating mode between HV mode in which the vehicle is powered mainly by the engine and EV mode in which the vehicle is powered mainly by said motor in response to a manual switching operation. The control system delays a startup of the engine until satisfaction of a predetermined running condition, if the manual switching operation is executed to shift from the EV mode to the HV mode under a condition that the running condition falls within a region where both of the HV mode and the EV mode are selectable.

The display control device includes a display control unit that switches information which is displayed on the display device between a warm-up indicator for notifying that warm-up of the internal combustion engine is being performed and a warm-up completion indicator for notifying that warm-up of the internal combustion engine has been completed. The display control unit is configured to prohibit switching from the warm-up completion indicator to the warm-up indicator when the warm-up completion indicator is being displayed on the display device while the internal combustion engine is operating.

Abstract: A drive force control system for hybrid vehicles to prevent a reduction in drive force during reverse propulsion while operating an engine. An operating mode of a transmission mechanism can be selected from a first mode in which the output torque of the engine is delivered to the output member at a first predetermined ratio and a second mode in which the output torque of the engine is delivered to the output member at a second predetermined ratio that is smaller than the first predetermined ratio. A controller is configured to restrict selection of the first mode when the engine generates a power greater than a predetermined power during propulsion of the hybrid vehicle in the reverse direction.
