摘要: A cylinder head that can efficiently cool air that flows in intake ports of respective cylinders without causing a difference among the cylinders. A cooling water channel is provided in peripheries of the intake ports in the cylinder head. The cooling water channel includes a plurality of water jackets that independently cover parts of respective wall surfaces of a plurality of intake ports. Further, the cooling water channel includes a main channel for cooling water supply that extends in a longitudinal direction of the cylinder head, on an upper part of a row of the intake ports, and the main channel and the respective water jackets are each connected via branch channels for cooling water supply.

摘要: A cylinder block including two different systems of cooling water channels. The cooling water at a relatively low temperature is made to flow through a first cooling water channel, while the cooling water at a relatively high temperature is made to flow through a second cooling water channel. The first cooling water channel includes an exhaust-side water jacket that is located on an exhaust side with respect to a plurality of cylinders juxtaposed in a longitudinal direction of the cylinder block and is provided in the longitudinal direction along the plurality of cylinders. The second cooling water channel includes an intake-side water jacket that is located on an intake side with respect to the plurality of cylinders and is provided in the longitudinal direction along the plurality of cylinders.

摘要: A vehicle includes an engine, a generator, and a motor. The engine burns a gaseous mixture in a cylinder to output a drive force. The generator generates electricity by being rotated by the drive force outputted from the engine. The motor drives by utilizing electric power generated by the generator or electric power that has accumulated in a battery charged with electric power generated by the generator, and the motor thereby outputs a vehicle-running drive force. A case covering the motor is of larger diameter than a case covering a differential. The motor has an output shaft outputting the vehicle-running drive force, and has the output shaft disposed parallel to a vehicle width direction. The generator is disposed such that part of the generator overlaps an upper section of the case covering the differential.

摘要: A balance device for an internal combustion engine includes a crankshaft and a balance shaft. The crankshaft includes a CS eccentric weight. The balance shaft includes a BS eccentric weight. A CS connected point deviated from the CS main shaft, and a BS connected point deviated from the BS axial shaft are connected with a connection rod. A CS connection mechanism that enables relative rotation of the crankshaft and the connection rod is provided at the CS connected point. A BS connection mechanism that enables relative rotation of the balance shaft and the connection rod is provided at the BS connected point. A guide section guides a motion of the connection rod so that the balance shaft rotates in an opposite direction to the crankshaft.

摘要: A first coolant flow passage (31, 32) is provided to extend in a longitudinal direction of a cylinder head (101). In at least one of cross sections perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the first coolant flow passage (31, 32) is located between a flat plane (S1) including central axes of a plurality of combustion chambers (4) and parallel to the longitudinal direction and a central line plane (S2) including central lines of a plurality of intake ports (2). In at least one of cross sections perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, at least a portion (20c) of a second coolant flow passage is located between a cylinder block mating surface (la) of the cylinder head (101) and the intake port central line plane (S2). A coolant at a temperature lower than that of a coolant flowing in the second coolant flow passage (20c) flows in the first coolant flow passage (31, 32).

摘要: High temperature (HT) and low temperature (LT) cooling water, the LT cooling water being at a lower temperature than the HT cooling water, circulate in HT and LT cooling water flows in respective channels. A controller controls to set the temperature of the LT cooling water lower in a case where an operating point of an engine lies in a particular region in an operational region of the engine, the particular region including a region in which the load is high and the engine speed is low, than in a case where the operating point lies in an operational region other than the particular region. Furthermore, the controller narrows the particular region in a direction toward higher loads in a case where the temperature of the HT cooling water is lower than a predetermined temperature.
