Abstract: A power storage cell includes an electrode assembly, a cell case, and an external terminal. The cell case has a case main body and a lid. The lid has a lid main body connected to an opening of the case main body and charged positively or negatively in the electrode assembly, and a short-circuit member connected to the lid main body, the short-circuit member being able to short-circuit the lid main body and the external terminal. The external terminal includes a terminal plate. The short-circuit member includes an elastic portion made of a conductive resin. The elastic portion is separated from the terminal plate when an internal pressure of the cell case is less than a predetermined pressure, and is elastically deformed to come into contact with the terminal plate when the internal pressure of the cell case is equal to or more than the predetermined pressure.

Abstract: A power storage cell comprises an electrode assembly, a cell case, and an external terminal. The cell case has a case body and a lid. The lid has a lid body electrically charged with the same polarity as that of a positive electrode or a negative electrode, an invertible plate capable of short-circuiting between the lid body and the external terminal, and a prevention part connected to the invertible plate. The invertible plate is deformable between a normal shape and an inverted shape. The lid body has a receiving portion that receives the prevention part when the invertible plate is in the inverted shape. The receiving portion allows the prevention part to pass therethrough when the invertible plate is deforming from the normal shape to the inverted shape, and is in contact with the prevention part when the invertible plate is in the inverted shape.

Abstract: According to the present disclosure, the breakage of an exterior body due to rising deformation of an electrode terminal can be prevented. The manufacturing method herein disclosed includes the steps of: bringing a lower surface of a terminal connecting part into contact with a first terminal, and bringing an upper surface of the terminal connecting part into contact with a second terminal; interposing the terminal connecting part, the first terminal, and the second terminal between a horn and an anvil, and carrying out ultrasonic welding; and accommodating the electrode body into the exterior body. Such a manufacturing method is characterized in that a width dimension of the horn is longer than a width dimension of the second terminal, and a width dimension of the anvil is longer than the width dimension of the second terminal. This can prevent rising deformation of the electrode terminal, and can prevent breakage of the exterior body by the deformed electrode terminal.

Abstract: A sealed cell according to the present invention includes an angular case 50 that accommodates an electrode body. The angular case 50 includes a concave case main body 52, having an opening, and a sealing member 54. The case main body 52 has a flat surface 52a opposed to the sealing member 54, with the electrode body interposed therebetween, and a side wall 52b rising from the flat surface 52a. The peripheral edge portion of the opening provided in the case main body 52 and the sealing member 54 are joined to each other by seal welding. Concave and convex portions including concave portions 56a, 156a recessed toward the inside of the case and convex portions 56b flush with the flat surface 52a are formed on at least one side 58a portion of end sides of the flat surface 52a. Electrode terminals 80, 82 are disposed on bottom surfaces of the concave portions 56a, 156a.

Abstract: A battery pack is a battery pack that is configured by arranging plural chargeable-dischargeable single cells in a specified direction. The two adjacent single cells in the battery pack are provided with gas discharge valves in mutually opposing surfaces of the battery cases, each of the gas discharge valves discharging gas that is produced in the battery case. In the battery cases provided in the two adjacent single cells, the gas discharge valves that are provided in the mutually opposing surfaces are disposed at positions that do not overlap each other when seen in an arrangement direction of the single cells.
