摘要: A hybrid vehicle includes an internal combustion engine, an electrical storage device, a rotary electric machine, and a controller. The hybrid vehicle travels in a selected one of a charge sustaining mode and a charge depleting mode. Switching from the charge depleting mode to the charge sustaining mode is controlled such that a first state of charge is higher than a second state of charge. In the first state of charge, the controller switches from the charge depleting mode to the charge sustaining mode at the time when operation characteristic of the intake valve is unchangeable to a desired operation characteristic. In the second state of charge there is switching from the charge depleting mode to the charge sustaining mode at the time when the operation characteristic of the intake valve is changeable to a desired operation characteristic.

摘要: A hybrid vehicle includes an electric motor, an internal combustion engine, an exhaust emission control device and a controller. The controller is configured to execute catalyst warm-up control for warming up a catalyst of the exhaust emission control device. The catalyst warm-up control includes first control and second control. The first control is control for operating the internal combustion engine at a first operating point. The second control is control for, after the first control is executed, operating the internal combustion engine at a second operating point irrespective of a driving force that is required to propel the hybrid vehicle. An output of the internal combustion engine at the second operating point is larger than an output of the internal combustion engine at the first operating point. The controller is configured to operate the internal combustion engine while an ignition timing of the internal combustion engine at the time when the first control is executed is set to a retarded side with respect to an ignition timing of the internal combustion engine at the time when the second control is executed. The controller is configured to, when the first control is executed, control the variable valve actuating device such that the operation characteristic becomes the first characteristic. The controller is configured to, when the second control is executed, control the variable valve actuating device such that the operation characteristic is changed to the second characteristic. The controller is configured to, after the second control is executed, operate the internal combustion engine on the basis of the driving force that is required to propel the hybrid vehicle and control the variable valve actuating device on the basis of a rotation speed and torque of the internal combustion engine.

摘要: A control device for an engine provided in a vehicle includes a controller. The engine includes an intake valve and a variable valve mechanism. The variable valve mechanism changes an opening/closing timing while maintaining a valve opening period of the intake valve. The controller sets an advance amount of the closing timing of the intake valve at the time when the engine is started, such that a first closing timing is earlier than a second closing timing of the intake valve. The first closing timing is the closing timing when a trip in which an operating period of the internal combustion engine is equal to or less than a predetermined period continues a predetermined number of times. The second closing timing is the closing timing before the number of continuous trips reaches the predetermined number of times. The trip is a period from activation to stop of the vehicle.

The controller is further configured to control the variable valve actuating device such that at least one of a valve lift or valve operating angle of the intake valve at the time when the output control is executed is larger than the corresponding at least one of the valve lift or valve operating angle of the intake valve at the time when the output control is not executed.

摘要: The occurrence of the misfire having a level at which exhaust purifying function of a catalyst is impaired (OT-level misfire) is detected. Upon the detection of the OT-level misfire, basic OT risk from the misfire is multiplied by a correction coefficient corresponding to the accumulated PM amount on the catalyst. The basic OT risk from the misfire is a basic value of OT risk from the misfire which is set based on the operating condition of the engine. The correction coefficient is set to a smaller value as the accumulated PM amount increases. Therefore, the OT risk from the misfire after the multiplication decreases as the accumulated PM amount increases. When a predetermined judgement condition with the OT risk from the misfire is established, it is judged that the misfire having the level occurs.
