摘要: A controller of a hybrid vehicle is configured to operate the internal combustion engine with ignition timing of the internal combustion engine during the execution of the first warm-up control for operating the internal combustion engine at a first operating point further on a retard side than ignition timing of the internal combustion engine during the execution of the second warm-up control for operating the internal combustion engine at a second operating point, regardless of the driving force required for traveling after the execution of the first warm up control. The controller is configured to set the output of the internal combustion engine and the operation characteristic of the intake valve in accordance with a predetermined characteristic relationship in which the output of the internal combustion engine and the operation characteristic of the intake valve correspond to each other during the execution of the second warm-up control.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for using compression heating to heat a cylinder piston before cylinder combustion is resumed. Cylinder heating is achieved using combinations of slow unfueled engine rotation where the engine cylinders are heated via compression stroke heating, and slow compressor rotation where the cylinders are heated via compression heating. One or more intake or exhaust heaters may be concurrently operated to expedite cylinder heating.

In one example, in response to an expected decrease in temperature of a catalyst of a vehicle below a threshold and an estimated duration thereof based on communications external from the vehicle, a method may include delaying catalyst heating actions, when the catalyst heating actions are determined to be unable to heat up the catalyst to threshold temperatures. However, the catalyst heating actions may be enabled when the catalyst heating actions are determined to be able to achieve the threshold temperature within the duration.

摘要: A hybrid vehicle includes an input device that is used by a user to request an increase in the amount of charge of the power storage device. When a request for increasing the amount of charge is made using the input device, a control device controls charging of a power storage device by a generating device so that charging of the power storage device is promoted, warms a catalyst device by operating an internal combustion engine while limiting the output of the internal combustion engine, and when the warming of the catalyst device and the request for increasing the amount of charge that is made using the input device overlap each other, the control device eases the output limitation of the internal combustion engine.

摘要: In a controller and a control method for a power converter of a vehicle, the power converter has a first operation mode and a second operation mode defining power supply modes of first and second DC power supplies with respect to a load. The first operation mode is an operation mode set when the first and second DC power supplies are electrically connected in series to an electric wire electrically connected to the load. The second operation mode is an operation mode set when the first and second DC power supplies are electrically connected in parallel to the electric wire. The controller includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to execute warm-up promotion control of a catalytic device. The electronic control unit is configured to set the operation mode of the power converter to the second operation mode when executing the warm-up promotion control.

摘要: In a vehicle including an engine, an electrically heatable catalyst device (EHC), and a first motor generator that generates electric power in accordance with the engine's motive power with the vehicle in a substantially stopped state with a vehicular speed lower than a threshold vehicular speed, an ECU determines, based on an amount A by which an accelerator pedal is operated and a vehicular speed V, whether a large accelerator operation has been performed with the vehicle in the substantially stopped state. If the ECU determines that the large accelerator operation has been performed with the vehicle in the substantially stopped state, the ECU activates an energization timer, and before the energization timer reaches a reference energization period of time α, the ECU energizes the EHC, and once the energization timer has reached the reference energization period of time α, the ECU ceases energizing the EHC.

摘要: A vehicle includes an engine, a first motor generator that is configured to generate electric power using the power of the engine, an electric storage device that is configured to store the electric power that is generated by the first motor generator, a connection part through which the electric power that has been stored in the electric storage device is supplied to the outside of the vehicle; and an ECU that is configured to start the engine when the SOC of the electric storage device reaches a predetermined starting threshold value. The ECU sets a starting threshold value ON2 that is used when the vehicle is in an undrivable condition and electric power is being supplied to the outside of the vehicle through the connection part to a value smaller than a starting threshold value ON1 that is used when the vehicle is in a drivable condition.

摘要: An apparatus for controlling an internal combustion engine executes air-fuel ratio feedback control based on a detection result of an exhaust gas sensor and when the engine is shut down, stops energization of a heater of the exhaust gas sensor at a predetermined timing after shutdown of the engine, heater control of the exhaust gas sensor is executed, which is suitable for a case in which shutdown time of the engine is set long, and thus the exhaust gas sensor is protected from thermal shock. The control apparatus sets timing for stopping energization of a heater of an exhaust gas sensor after shutdown of the engine, to a point in time when a predetermined time set based on outside air temperature has elapsed, or a point in time when cooling water temperature of the engine has dropped to a predetermined temperature.

The continuation control unit takes an output value of the engine as a request output value when the request output value of the engine is a predetermined idling output value or more that is smaller than the predetermined warm-up output value and takes the output value as the warm-up output value when the request output value is less than the predetermined idling output value.
