Abstract: The electric vehicle according to the present disclosure calculates motor torque using an MT vehicle model simulating an MT vehicle having a manual transmission and an internal combustion engine. In the first operation mode, an operation amount of a pseudo-clutch pedal and a shift position of a pseudo-gearshift are input to the MT vehicle model to reflect operation of the pseudo-clutch pedal and operation of the pseudo-gearshift in electric motor control. In the second operation mode where the operation of the pseudo-clutch pedal is not needed, an operation amount of a clutch pedal calculated by a driver model is input to the MT vehicle model instead of the operation amount of the pseudo-clutch pedal.

Abstract: A shifting mechanism in which an inclination of a sleeve with respect to a shift fork is reduced while maintaining a clearance between the shift fork and the sleeve. In the shifting mechanism, an engagement groove is formed entirely around a shift sleeve, and a cutout is formed on the engagement groove. A first diameter of the shift sleeve between predetermined sites of the bottom of the engagement groove within the cutouts is shorter than a second diameter of the shift sleeve between predetermined sites of the bottom of the engagement groove. A straight-line distance between the engagement ridges formed on both ends of the shift fork is longer than the first diameter but shorter than the second diameter.

Abstract: A power transmission unit that can prevent unintentional disengagement of a clutch. A first set of teeth formed on an outer circumferential surface of a first rotary member is engaged with a third set of teeth formed on an inner circumferential surface of a second rotary member. A second set of teeth formed on an inner circumferential surface of the first rotary member is meshed with a fourth set of teeth formed on an outer circumferential surface of a third rotary member. A center of engagement between the first set of teeth and the third set of teeth is situated at a point withdrawn from a center of engagement between the second set of teeth and the fourth set of teeth in the direction to disengage the first set of teeth from the third set of teeth.

Abstract: A drive force control system for a vehicle configured to accurately imitate a change in a drive force in a model vehicle. A drive torque simulator computes a virtual drive torque supposed to be delivered to drive wheels of the model vehicle in response to a manual operation to manipulate the vehicle, based on torque changing factors of a powertrain of the model vehicle. An actual torque calculator computes a target torque of a motor that is practically delivered to the drive wheels in the vehicle based on the virtual drive torque computed by the drive torque simulator, taking account of torque changing factors of the powertrain of the vehicle.

Abstract: A battery electric vehicle includes an accelerator pedal, a shifter, a mode selector, and a control device. The mode selector selects either an EV mode or an MT mode as a control mode for an electric motor according to a mode selection operation by a driver. When the SOC of a battery is within a predetermined range, the control device controls the electric motor in the control mode selected by the mode selector. When the SOC is out of the predetermined range, the control device controls the electric motor in the EV mode regardless of the control mode selected by the mode selector.
