    Abstract: A control apparatus for a hybrid electric vehicle includes: an engine control portion for controlling an operation state of an engine; and a driving-mode control portion for controlling the vehicle so as to realize selected at least one of driving modes. The driving modes include a low-gear all-wheel driving mode and a high-gear all-wheel driving mode. In a case in which the low-gear all-wheel driving mode is selected in the high-gear all-wheel driving mode when the engine is in a stopped state with a vehicle power transmission apparatus being in a non-driving position that disables transmission of a drive power, the engine control portion maintains the stopped state of the engine until completion of switching from the high-gear all-wheel driving mode to the low-gear all-wheel driving mode, and starts the engine after the completion of the switching from the high-gear all-wheel driving mode to the low-gear all-wheel driving mode.

    Abstract: A fuel cell system according to one embodiment performs refresh control of an electrode catalyst of a fuel cell, by reducing a stack voltage as a voltage of the fuel cell to a refresh voltage at which the electrode catalyst is activated. The system includes the fuel cell that generates electric power by an electrochemical reaction using fuel gas and oxidation gas, a stack voltage sensor that sensors the stack voltage, and a controller that controls power of the fuel cell. When a high load demand that makes the stack voltage lower than a given voltage is made on the fuel cell, the controller causes the fuel cell to deliver power commensurate with the high load demand, and performs refresh control when the stack voltage becomes lower than the given voltage through the above control.

    Abstract: In a hybrid vehicle including an engine, a motor driven by a battery output, and a continuously variable transmission, when acceleration is requested, an ECU executes feeling-of-acceleration producing control for gradually increasing an engine rotation speed from an initial value NEini lower than an optimum rotation speed. With the battery output, the ECU makes up for a shortfall of engine output caused by the feeling-of-acceleration producing control. When starting the feeling-of-acceleration producing control, the ECU calculates a basic initial value NEini_base lower than the optimum rotation speed, and calculates, based on an atmospheric pressure, a lower limit value NEmin that allows the battery output to be maintained to be equal to or lower than prescribed electric power. The ECU selects a larger one of basic initial value NEini_base and lower limit value NEmin as initial value NEini.

    Abstract: A vehicle includes an engine, a second MG for running, a battery that supplies and receives electric power to and from the second MG, and an ECU. The ECU is configured to control the engine and the second MG and to execute intake air amount learning. When the SOC of the battery exceeds a second threshold value that is higher than a first threshold value while the vehicle is running using the second MG with the engine in a stopped state, the ECU maintains the engine in the stopped state and maintains the second MG in a driven state, and then does not execute the intake air amount learning. When the SOC of the battery takes a value between the first threshold value and the second threshold value, the ECU starts the engine, drives the second MG with constant torque, and executes the intake air amount learning.
