    摘要: There is provided a cholesterol sensor with high-accuracy and excellent response, whose object to be measured is whole blood, where plasma with which is obtained by filtering out hemocytes therein filtered in blood can rapidly reach an electrode system. In a biosensor where plasma with which is obtained by filtering out hemocytes therein filtered with by a filter is sucked into a sample solution supply pathway due to capillarity, there are formed: a first pressing part for holding a primary side portion of the filter from the bottom; a second pressing part for holding a secondary side portion of the filter from the top and the bottom; a third pressing part for holding the central portion of the filter from the top; and a void for surrounding the filter between the second pressing part and third pressing part.

    摘要: A voltage is applied across a counter electrode and a working electrode while an oxidant of a redox substance is in contact with the counter electrode and is not substantially in contact with the working electrode, and thereby metal that readily undergoes electrolytic oxidation forming at least part of a surface of the working electrode is oxidized while the oxidant in contact with the working electrode is reduced, such that a current produced upon the oxidation and the reduction is measured. According to the above constitution, while lowering the voltage applied across the working electrode and the counter electrode, a hematocrit value of a blood sample can be measured stably with satisfactory detection sensitivity. This measurement can be carried out, for example, with a sensor chip comprising a working electrode 11, a counter electrode 12, and a blood sample holder 14 in communication with a blood sample inlet 16, wherein a portion 31 of the working electrode 11 is disposed closer to the blood sample inlet 16 than a portion 32 of the counter electrode is, a surface of the portion 31 includes the metal that readily undergoes electrolytic oxidation, and a reagent 13 containing the oxidant is disposed in contact with the portion 32.

    摘要: Voltage is applied across a counter electrode and a working electrode, with which a blood sample is in contact, in such a state that an oxidant in a redox substance is not substantially in contact with a working electrode but is in contact with a counter electrode and a reductant is not substantially in contact with the counter electrode but is in contact with the working electrode, whereby the reductant and the oxidant are respectively oxidized and reduced to measure current produced upon the oxidation and reduction. This measurement can be carried out with a sensor chip comprising a working electrode (11), a counter electrode (12), and a blood sample holding part (14) having branch parts (18a, 18b). A first reagent (13) consisting essentially of an oxidant in a redox substance is disposed in contact with the surface of a counter electrode which faces the branch part (18b), and a second reagent (19) consisting essentially of a reductant is disposed in contact with the surface of a working electrode that faces the branch part (18a).
