    摘要: In a method of superimposing data of a character (mark) on video data, the superimposed video data being subjected to a data compression processing for extracting video data within each of blocks from one frame of the superimposed video data and for data-compressing the extracted video data, the blocks forming one frame, the each block including a predetermined number of two-dimensionally arranged pixels of the superimposed video data, a position of the character superimposed on the video data with respect to a lump of the blocks, where the character is to be imposed, is determined such that the number of blocks over which the character spreads is minimized when a size and a shape of the character or the mark are unchanged. In the method, at least a portion of a body of the character at a middle portion of the block and an outline of the character near a boundary of the block are arranged, or a horizontal (vertical) size of the character in accordance with a natural number times the number of horizontally (vertically) arranged pixels out of the two-dimensionally arranged pixels within the block. Thus, noise occurring around the character at blocks where the character exists is made inconspicuous.

    摘要: An automatic equalization system includes an analog-to-digital converter for periodically sampling an analog signal representative of digital information in response to a sampling clock signal, and for converting every sample of the analog signal into a corresponding digital sample to convert the analog signal into a corresponding digital signal. A first device operates for detecting a phase error of the sampling clock signal in response to a correlation between samples of the digital signal generated by the analog-to-digital converter. A second device operates for controlling a frequency of the sampling clock signal in response to the phase error detected by the first device. A variable filter operates for subjecting the digital signal generated by the analog-to-digital converter to a variable filtering process to convert the digital signal generated by the analog-to-digital converter into a filtering-resultant signal. The filtering process corresponds to a waveform equalization process. A third device operates for detecting an amplitude error of the digital signal generated by the analog-to-digital converter in response to a correlation between samples of the filtering-resultant signal generated by the variable filter. A fourth device operates for controlling the filtering process implemented by the variable filter in response to the amplitude error detected by the third device. The analog-to-digital converter, the first device, and the second device compose a phase locked loop while the variable filter, the third device, and the fourth device compose an amplitude error correcting loop separate from the phase locked loop.

    摘要: A color camera apparatus comprises an image pickup element having a stripe/mosaic type color filter and photo-electrically converting an arriving optical image so as to obtain at least a signal including a brightness component and a color component multiplexed with each other. And, the apparatus comprises an A/D converter for digitizing above multiplexed signal, and a brightness signal processing circuit which separates the brightness component from the multiplexed signal and carries out an aperture correction by means of a delay element having a delay amount corresponding to two horizontal scanning period. And further, the apparatus comprises a color signal processing circuit which separates the color component from the multiplexed signal so as to obtain two line-sequential color difference components through a predetermined arithmetic procedure. And, the color signal processing circuit not only carries out a circular-type noise removal processing operation by means of the delay element having the delay amount corresponding to two horizontal scanning periods, but carries out a rearrangement of said line-sequential color difference components by use of the same delay line.
