    摘要: An indicating instrument includes a dial plate, a casing disposed behind the dial plate, a drive control section disposed in the casing and a rotary shaft driven by the drive control section. The rotary shaft is comprised of a pair of thin shafts respectively supported by a pair of bearings and a thick shaft connecting the pair of thin shafts. Each thin shaft has such a length and an outside diameter that the ratio of the length to the outside diameter provides a sufficient bending strength. Therefore, the rotary shaft rotates smoothly and a pointer carried by the shaft indicates accurate values of a vehicle operating condition.

A fastening structure incorporated in the fuel cell stack has a liquid chamber disposed on an outer surface of the first end plate, a silicone oil filled in the liquid chamber, and a pressurizing mechanism disposed on an outer surface of the second end plate, for pressing the fuel cells toward the first end plate. The plurality of fuel cells is given a uniform surface pressure, and can be reduced in weight and made compact.

Accordingly, no water remains and freezes in the fuel cell system when the system is stopped. It is possible to reliably start the system, and it is possible to improve the reliability.

    摘要: A data processing system which executes pipeline processing that decodes a subsequent instruction in an execute phase of a current instruction in response to a clock signal. The data processing system includes a CPU and a mode management block. The CPU supplies an address bus with at least one predetermined address in an execute phase of a clock supply stop instruction. The mode management block produces a clock stop signal if the predetermined address agrees with a self-address assigned to the management block in advance, thereby halting the supply of the clock signal. This makes it possible to solve a problem of a conventional data processing system in that it executes the instruction next to the clock supply stop instruction in spite of execution of the clock supply stop instruction because the clock stop signal is actually output when the clock supply stop instruction shifts from the execute phase to the write back phase, in which case the next instruction proceeds in the execute phase.

    摘要: A speed meter unit has a magnetic pointer position detector, including an output coil, a detection coil and a magnetic piece. The output coil generates magnetic flux. The detection coil is for detecting the magnetic flux from the output coil. When a pointer has returned to an initial position, the magnetic flux generated in the output coil can reach the detection coil through the magnetic piece, so that a microcomputer can detect the initial position of the pointer. Such the magnetic pointer position detector is resistive to the soil or the oxidization, so that the speed meter unit can detect the initial position of the pointer accurately and securely.

    摘要: A meter such as a speedometer for use in an automobile instrument panel includes a pointer driven by a stepping motor. A pulse voltage having a wider pulse width is supplied to the stepping motor to obtain a higher induced voltage to be compared with a threshold voltage for detecting the pointer-zero-position. After the pointer-zero-position is detected, the stepping motor is driven by a pulse voltage having a narrower pulse width to obtain a quicker response of the pointer. In this manner, the pointer-zero-position is accurately adjusted without sacrificing the quick response of the meter pointer.
