摘要： A semiconductor laser driver is designed to detect a semiconductor laser output and control a drive voltage or current of a semiconductor laser so as to set a detected laser output to be a predetermined constant laser output. The laser driver includes an integrator for integrating the detected laser output, thereby utilizing an integrated signal as a semiconductor laser drive signal. The integrator integrates the difference between a voltage corresponding to the detected laser output and a reference voltage corresponding to the predetermined constant laser output.

摘要： An image forming machine such as a copying machine and a printer for forming an image on a recording medium with plural laser beams. The image forming machine includes an image reader for reading an original image and for simultaneously generating image signals corresponding to the original image; plural laser beam generators for writing the image on the recording medium according to the image signals; an index signal generating circuit for generating plural index signals each of which initiates a respective one of the plural laser beam generators to write the image; and a control circuit for controlling a reading operation of the image reader. In the image forming machine, the control circuit initiates the reading operation of the image reader according to one of the plural index signals.

摘要： In a method of forming an image in a form of pixels, the density distribution around a target pixel is obtained by processing image signals of pixels neighboring the target pixel. The target pixel is sub-divided into a plurality of sub-pixels which form of matrix of n rows.times.m columns. The sub density distribution of the sub-pixels in the target pixel is assumed from the density distribution of the neighboring pixels. The density of each of sub-pixels is determined by multiplying the density of the target pixel, by a constant P and a density ratio of the corresponding sub-pixels in the sub density distribution.
