    摘要: In a thermal head in which a heat generating portion is protruded by partially forming a glass glaze layer on an insulating substrate, a protruding portion is formed on the insulating substrate and the glass glaze layer is formed on the protruding portion. The heat generating portion can sufficiently be protruded to render the contact with the recording paper or ink ribbon favorable, thereby improving the heat efficiency.

    摘要: A thermal head having a glass glaze layer, a heat generating resistance layer, an electric power supplying conductor layer and a protecting layer formed on an insulating substrate, wherein the glass glaze layer is so formed that the lower portion thereof is embedded in the insulating substrate and the upper portion thereof is protruded from the surface of the insulating substrate, and a metal layer is disposed in contact with the lower surface of the glass glaze layer.The heat generating portion can effectively be protruded to render the contact with the recording paper or ink ribbon favorable, thereby improving the heat efficiency. Further, temperature falling rate once after the temperature of the heat generating portion has been raised can be increased.

The elastic surface wave element comprises an element body and a multi-layered printed circuit board disposed one on the other with a predetermined gap left therebetween and having terminal sections connected to each other. The element further comprises a sound wave absorbing member which seals outer peripheries along which the element body and the multi-layered printed circuit board are joined together and thus seals airtight a face of the element on which electrodes are formed.

    摘要: A high-capacity magnetic memory capable of writing and reading a magnetic record in/from a magnetic recording film according to a perpendicular magnetic recording system at a high speed in a purely-electrically random access manner. In the magnetic memory, a writing-magnetic-field generating means 62 and a writing word line 43 are disposed relative to a perpendicular magnetic recording film 50, and a reading/writing bit-line conductor 41, a magnetoresistive-effect element 20 and a reading word lead conductor 42 are laminated in order on a probe substrate opposed to the perpendicular magnetic recording film 50. A magnetic probe 30 composed of a carbon nanotube containing a soft magnetic material is disposed relative to the magnetoresistive-effect element 20 in a standing manner, and electrically connected to the reading/writing bit-line conductor. During a writing operation, a micro-discharge is generated in a micro-gap G between the edge of the magnetic probe and the magnetic recording film under a writing magnetic field to allow a writing current to flow through the micro-gap G so as to heat a micro-region of the magnetic recording film in such a manner that it goes through its Curie point to thereby become magnetized in the direction of the recording magnetic field to form a magnetic record therein. During a reading operation, the magnetic record is read out through the magnetic probe in accordance with a current variation in the magnetoresistive-effect element.

    摘要: An elastic surface wave element which has a grille-shaped electrode formed on a piezoelectric substrate is improved by having the grille-shaped electrode portion thereof covered with an insulating film made of tantalum pentoxide or silicon nitride. The insulating film functions to minimize the degradation of properties suffered by the conventional elastic surface wave element and preclude substantially completely the phenomenon of short-circuit between the electrode bars of the grille-shaped electrode.
