摘要： An inexpensive fuel supply device having a high output is achieved using low-output fuel pumps.First and second pumps, which are two inexpensive pumps having a low output, are disposed on a common mounting seat an inlet of each of the fuel pumps approaches a common fuel filter, discharge ports are connected to a common discharge passage so that the amount of fuel corresponding to the sum of the amounts of discharged fuel of the fuel pumps can be supplied from the common discharge passage, a common pressure regulator is connected to the common discharge passage, and the entire structure is formed as a unit, thereby obtaining an inexpensive pump unit having a high output.

A fuel pump mounting structural body accommodates a fuel pump unit in an opening portion disposed in a fuel tank. The structural body includes a step portion disposed in the opening portion. The step portion is formed one step lower than a wall surface of the fuel tank. A lid portion of the fuel pump unit is fittingly attached to the step portion and includes a delivery port for fuel. A guide member is disposed on a peripheral edge of the opening portion. The guide member includes a removably mounted holding member. The fuel pump unit is held in position by the fuel pump mounting structural body.

Within the fuel tank is formed an outside air introducing path having an opening formed in the front portion of the tank, with an air cleaner being disposed downstream of the outside air introducing path. With such arrangement, a relatively large flow of air can be introduced with a relatively small load on the air cleaner.

摘要： A motorcycle includes a fuel tank mounted on a frame along a length thereof, and an elongated seat mounted on the frame above the fuel tank along the length of said frame, the seat having a bottom having a portion extending along the length thereof and disposed in spaced opposed relation to an upper surface of the fuel tank to form an air intake passageway therebetween. The passageway has an open front end opening toward the front end of the frame and having a rear open end. The seat has a front end disposed near a front end of the fuel tank so that the seat covers generally the entire upper surface of the fuel tank. An air cleaner is operatively connected to an engine and is disposed rearwardly of the fuel tank. The rear open end of the passageway is in communication with the air cleaner whereby the ambient air can be fed to the air cleaner through the air intake passageway.
